So I live in VA and not far from Busch Gardens. Haven't been there in yrs and i miss it. We had hoped to get up there on Labor day weekend for 1 last ride on the Big Bad Wolf, but our car dropped dead and we didn't get there. So now I'm pricing it out for Howl-o-scream. Haven't done that b4, but I'm thinking about it for our anniversary this weekend.

I'm trying to decide if its better to get the annual pass or just buy a day ticket. So who here has annual passes there? It doesn't seem like a bad deal. and could pay an easy monthly slot.

If you do have an annual pass, do you have 1 for everybody in the family or just buy 1 pass and then get a discount for relative/friends? Cause i see that's an option too.

I know I'm rambling. :rotfl:
TIA

This doesn't really help for Howl-o-Scream but we got VA resident passes this year, back in the Spring. Then I upgraded mine to a Annual Pass so we would get free parking and the discounts on food and purchases. We don't go often but it was worth it. I may also try to get out there one more time before they close and do some shopping since I don't get to go in the shops with the kids.

I guess I am saying if you plan to go at least a few times a year the annual pass is worth it for at least one person. I am also really looking forward to the new Christmas Event and will get a discount on admission with the annual pass.

That's why I'm thinking about the passes. Because parking is $12.00 and the passes are only $38 more. But you've dropped parking right off the bat. I really want to do the Christmas town bit even more than Howl o scream. I'm dissappointed though that its just a discount and pretty much evening hours only. I really don't know what to do.

I'm wondering if we just got 1 yearly pass how much of a discount it would be to get 1 of us a day ticket.

My Dad's a retired firefighter but has worked for Water Country/BG for years so my Mom and I get free annual passes ( I think they're premium? Whatever the one is that allows access to all AB parks except Discovery Cove). I would reccomend buying at least one pass that has parking included as that can get expensive even if you just come 2-3 times and then buying the cheaper passes for the rest of your family. I've heard rumors that Blackstone (same company that owns Universal Studios) is looking to buy BG (and all Anheuser parks) so maybe, if that happens, they'll be offering passes to all of those parks too tied into one (as my pass currently allows admission to BG in Tampa and Sea World it's neat being able to go to another state and get to do fun things for free!).

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do for Christmas this year.

OH I hope they don't sell the parks. There were so many stories about that when then they were bought out last year. The Busch Family has really kept the parks soo nice, and VA loves the way they are good neighbors, they put a lot of time into the community. Would hate to lose that aspect if they sell the parks.

We got the year pass for all 4 of us and I think it is a good deal. We used it 3 times last year and we are 4 hours away. We haven't used it yet this year, but hopefully will get to go in October. Also, I believe that if you renew before it expires, the price will stay the same, you won't have to pay the year-to-year increase. I think it is a good deal and would be an even better deal for someone even closer to Wmsburg.

We've had the 4 pack family platinum passes for years. We do the monthly EZ pay. We get into Sea World and BG Tampa for free---something to think about if you're planning a trip to Orlando. As a matter of fact, we're hoping for good weather Saturday for Howl O Scream!!

We are debating the exact same thing. I'm thinking if we get annual passes we can get at least 1 trip in next year. We are 3 1/2 hrs away, so we will go for a long weekend later this month, and then try to go next fall. Throw in the $12/day for parking for 6 days, and it really does save some $$

Any one got an idea on where to stay? I found Powhatten resort for $64/night. A friend of mine says its nice. Any other ideas for a nice but inexpensive place.

If I lived nearer, we would have season passes. We made a special trip from Maine just to ride Big Bad Wolf before it closed! :) We love Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and Tampa was great, too.
