Hi

Never been to Busch Gardens, just wondered if the Sesame Safari was worth the trip?

Our son is autistic, he loves Cookie, he watches his Cookie dvd everyday, but were not so sure he will like Cookie in the flesh. he is unable to go on big coaster's.

Has anyone got any photo's of the Sesame area they would be willing to share?

Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks

Hey Julie, our younger dd has autism too. We have season passes to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Unfortunately we haven't been to BG Tampa in several years. However, BG Williamsburg also has a Sesame Street play area. The one in Tampa looks like it has a few more rides/attractions.

Our dd is nearly 5. She loves Ernie, but wouldn't go near the 6 ft tall one at BG!! But she really enjoyed watching him from a distance. She liked some of the rides in there, but backed out of the coaster at the last minute!! Aghhh!!

I'd tell you the Sesame St area is good for 1-2 hrs, maybe 3 max, including the movie. But our Zoe would love all the animals at BG Tampa. If your Joshua would enjoy them, then yes, it's probably worth a trip. Zoe is also pretty easy about most indoor theatre-type shows at BG too. Again, if Joshua could do those, I think it would make a nice side trip for you.

The only downside to the Sesame St at Williamsburg is a lack of shade. They just added this area 2 years ago, and it's fiendishly hot, waiting in line. Hopefully someone can give you better info about BG Tampa!:goodvibes

Thanks

There is no chance of Joshua sitting/standing through any show or queuing for long, he'l just freak out.

We were thinking that the character breakfast may be easier for us as the characters can mingle amongst the tables. You mention 6ft characters, WOW. Hopefully Cookie won't intimidate him as much sat at a table. Might intimidate me though :rotfl2:

My 7 yo has PDD NOS/Asperger and we took him and our 6 yo to Busch Gardens last month. They had been looking forward to the Sesame Street area in particular but they were a little disappointed because the rides are really for toddlers.
They loved meeting the characters!

I have some pictures here.... hope you can see them!

We did enjoy our day at Busch!

Thanks for the update and yes we can see the pictures. :)
