Hey, just hoping to get a little feedback from everyone. this summer we're planning on another trip to the Orlando area. My DH is in the military and we're hoping to take advantage of the Salute to Heroes program, from Anheiser Busch(sp). Our problem is making up our mind which one to go to.
A pro is that Seaworld is of course closer to Disney, but con is I've heard not as much rides. Pro for Busch Gardens-lots of rides and animals, con a little of a drive and have heard it's alot like Wild Adventures in Valdosta, which we go to at least twice a year since we live so close.
Any pro or cons out there, would love to hear your input.
Thanks a bunch!:)

If you haven't been to SW i would do that. There are coaster( i don't do ride so can't comment on them). The animal shows at SW are great and the Shamu show make's reference to the service people- might be a nice touch for your husband.
Lots to do in a day if you like animals :-)

Thanks, personally I'm leaning towards SW, I think between me and DH we'd love the whales and such, just worried it wouldn't be enough for our almost 15 year old? DD and our youngest DS are up to anything that has to do with animals!

For kids who want to ride rides BG would be better. If I were 15, I'd choose to go there hands down. The Land Of Dragons is great for your 5 yr. old also. There's also lots of rides for all ages.

That said, since I'm no longer 15, I'd probably choose SW. ;) As you noted, the difference in the drive is substantial. Some people don't mind that though. SW is a very nice park. If you've never been, you'll have a great time.

you could always sign your 15 y/o up for one of the tour that they run. They do a Shark one, that i have booked for my son and i this summer( currently 12 going on 15!), it was only about $20........ sure that would keep his attention. I thinbk if he has never been he will be fine. Encourage him to feed the sting rays and dolphin and go to a few of the shows.
Have a great day!:-)

I think I have figured out what we're going to do. We're going on my anniversary weekend. I've wanted to stay at the POR for a long time. I think I'll pick that for us. Seaworld for the little ones and then let DS(15) pick which Disney park, being we will only have one day fo this. How does that sound to everyone? Trying to give a little magic for the whole family, hard to do on this trip cause it's only a 3 day trip, but I think this might do the trick!
By chance does anyone know if Seaworld has some kind of fastpass type thing, or is it just wait in line there?:confused3
Thanks for everyones input!:thumbsup2

There's more shows than anything, and that mean's there isn't that many lines to wait in.
