My DH is not the Disney nut that I am. However, I've convinced him another WDW trip is in order next year. He agreed, but I had to promise to include some nonWDW stuff too on our 12 day trip.
I'll get 5 day park hopper + tickets, but will still need to come up with some other great stuff to do. We've been to Sea World, Universal, Cape Canaveral, and even Splendid China on past trips. Can anyone recommend Busch Gardens along with a WDW vacation? How far is it?

Busch Gardens is about an hour away over in Tampa. As to whether to add it to the trip or not depends on what your familu likes. Many of the rides in BG are thrill rides. There are shows and animals to look at also. If you are big on rollercoasters then it is worth the trip to some people.

I am going next week so I will post on this thread and let you know how it is. I have not been there in 19 years and the only reason my husband talked me into going back is that someone he knows got us complimentary tickets. The person who got the tickets half of a childless couple who go to Disney 3 times a year. They love it ! They assured us the Busch Gardens was very good and so I am going to take a day and see if what he says is true. He is not a thrill rider and neither am I so I am hopeful.

There is a shuttle bus you can take from Seaworld to Busch Gardens, it picks up a little before opening at Seaworld and brings you to BG and returns when the park closes. I believe the rate is $5.00 pp you can call Seaworld or BG and ask them for more details.... we use it with our annual pass all the time, it's nice to save the hour trip...

BG is wonderful, great animal exhibits. shows though not as pro-
fessional as Disney. Great thrill rides. Congo river, Flume, very nice shops, Clysdales and free beer! Food is better than disney.
Very nice small kids play area for kids 8 years and younger. with lots of shade for you to sit and watch the kids ride.

on the bad side there is no fastpass of any sort and waits can be troublesome.
