Need advice quick on bus transportation from AKL to theme parks, etc. We leave tomorrow (4th).
We are travelling with 5 & 7 yr. olds and are concerned buses may take a long time from resort.
Do taxis work out well or should we stick with buses since this is a quieter time?
Thanks for any input!:earsboy:

The Disney bus system is free! It is also pretty good. You may have to stand on the bus more often than you would like, and you may just miss one bus and need to wait 20 minutes for another. But I've always found bus service to be very good.

But we took a lot of taxis our last trip. We discovered that we always sat in a taxi and a taxi was always fast - no waiting for a bus, always direct. We had two seniors who were late risers, so we were always leaving ten or twenty minutes later (at least!) than I wanted to be leaving. And then were slow walkers, so once we got to the MK, it still took twenty minutes to get back to Fantasyland. So taking a cab saved my frustration.

A taxi will be more comfortable and fast, but you will pay for it - the question is, is the amount you pay worth it to you.

why not try out the buses on your first day. If the line looks long or you just missed a bus you can always hop in a taxi. Taking WDW transport from a resort to a theme park only involves one bus and no transfers and is pretty good. You may want to consider a taxi if you are trying to go resort to resort which is sometimes a lengthy process. Also take a taxi if you are running late and trying to get somewhere quickly.

Thanks for info!
Helps knowing just one bus and that system works well.
