Bus transportation & the Poly

We're staying at the Poly b/c we expect to mostly be going to MK & Epcot. We will be going to AK, DHS, & DTD by bus, though. Where is the best place to board the bus at the Poly? Do buses load at TTC? Is one place quicker than the other? I realize it is quicker to get to Epcot via TTC & the monorail. So is there a shortcut version for bus travel?

There is a bus pick up area near the front of the Poly. We had no problem getting a bus to DHS, AK, or DTD from there. When we were there, the bus stopped at the Contemp first, then the Poly, and finally the GF before heading to the final destination.

When it comes to their buses you have two options. You can either get on them at the Polynesian bus station or get on them at the TTC. However when you get on them at the Polynesian they will have already come from the Contemporary and will then be going to the Grand Floridian. At the TTC once you get on it's a direct ride to Hollywood Studios or the Animal Kingdom. Finally if you want to go on the bus to Downtown Disney you can only get it at the Polynesian, because they don't have a bus which goes there from the TTC.
