In regards to the Magical Express, I called Disney and set it up through them, and they said I was all set. Is a Magical Express reservation supposed to show up in MDE? Or am I just being paranoid and wait a few weeks to see if I get the information in the mail?

In regards to a Character Breakfast Bus, I have searched the forums and tried to look for answers but just kept seeing people mentioning that there were buses that took you directly to the character breakfast, however I cannot find any official information anywhere else. So my question is, is there a set "Character Breakfast Bus" or is it simply a bus that is supposed to go somewhere else, and the bus driver is just nice enough to drop you off at your location? I am staying at Port Orleans Riverside if that makes a difference.

Finally, and I'm sorry that I am asking this in the transportation forums but I figured since I already asked other questions I might as well ask. The character breakfast I am going to is 'Ohana and online it says the prices range. I found that they range due to season... so does anyone know what I'd be looking at per person for a vacation in the middle of August!

Thanks so much! :)

It's just a regular bus. Bus service starts around 6:30 every day. Technically, the buses will only take you to the parks. For an 'Ohana reservation, you'll take the bus to MK. Ask the driver for the best way to get to the Poly - he will either tell you the best way to transfer or take you there himself. For a reservation at another resort, be at the bus stop at least 75 minutes before your reservation.

There is a sticky thread at the top of the dining forum that gives exact prices of buffets and aycte meals.

Thanks so much for that answer! Could I also take a bus to Downtown Disney then if a transfer is required regardless?

No. There's no DTD bus service early in the morning. Even if there was, it would take way longer. Never transfer at DTD if you can help it.

If the bus driver can't drop you off at the poly, you'll just take the resort monorail there from MK.

Thanks again! It's my first time actually staying on property, so I don't really know much.

In terms of the Magical Express, do you know if that comes up on MDE?

I'm not sure. If you want to make sure they have your reservation you can call DME directly at 866-599-0951

Sometimes. I haven't seen it on my MDE account, but others have said they have seen it on theirs. You should get your DME letter/luggage tags a month or so prior to your stay. You can start looking for it in late June/early July.

Buses are vest easy to figure out once you get there. All resorts have buses running to the parks starting at 6:30. They run a bit less often than the regular buses do though. The best and fastest way to an ADR at a resort, other than yours or one you can walk to, is to take a bus to the park closest to the resort you are headed to. For restaurants at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary resorts, take the MK bus. You can walk to the CR from MK. And take either the monorail or boat to the other two. And sometimes, if a driver knows you're going to a resort, he may offer to drop you at that resort!

Everything is well marked when it comes to transportation at WDW. If you have any questions regarding transportation, while at WDW, just ask a bus driver! They will always have the best info for you.

The best and fastest way to an ADR at a resort is by taxi.

Thanks so much for the info. Super helpful!

I know, I keep seeing that but there is going to be five of us, and I'm not sure if taxi's can fit that many. Would you happen to know?

If you give them enough notice, a van instead of a car can be called for you. I've never used a taxi at WDW so I'm unsure who gets the taxis for you (bell services, maybe?). Someone will know, though.
