Does anyone know when the busses start running from DTD to the parks? We will be dropping our rental car off at the Grosvenor some time in the late morning around 11 am and need to get to Epcot from that area. Any suggestions?

Unless it's changed recently buses do not go from DTD to the parks. (I believe it was somthing about people parking free at DTD, then catching a bus to avoid paying the parking fees at the park parking lots.) Anyway to get from DTD to any park you must catch a bus to a resort, then another bus to whichever park you want to go to.

To get from DTD to Epcot I'd catch the bus to Beach Club, then enter Epcot through the International Gateway.

Nope, there are no buses heading to any of the parks from DTD. Way too many people were driving there and parking there in order to avoid the fees at the parks. So buses only run to the resorts.
As mentioned above....hop on a bus to one of the Epcot resorts...BW, YC/BC, S/D, and then walk over to Epcot through the International Gateway.

Thanks...I didn't realize that. Do the busses run in the morning around 11?

The DTD hotels have their own buses that run to the theme parks. I don't think those buses check passes but just ask when you return your rental car. I'm sure they'll give you a bus pass if one is needed. I think the buses run every 20 or 30 minutes.

Walt Disney World Buses Officially start at 9 am from the Marketplace and
10 am for Pleasure Island. Buses may start a bit earlier than that maybe between 8:30 to 8 :45 am at the earliest. Buses will not drop off at Pleasure Island until after 10 am.

People still ask where the bus to parks leave from at Downtown Disney, I usually tell them that there's no bus and then you get a weird look on the persons face once you let them know theres no buses to the Magic Kingdom or whichever park.

:santa:

When we went from DTD to Epcot we asked the bus driver the quickest route. We took the bus to the Swan and Dolphin and then took a boat to Epcot. The boat ride was a nice change.

Thanks so much for all the responses. I knew I'd get the info that I needed here!

Isn't the Grosvenor across the street from Downtown Disney? While crossing that street may require a bit of hustle, even with the walk lights, it seems to me it'd be faster just to walk. If I'm remembering correctly, the HPB buses run on a loop every half hour AND drop you off somewhere in the middle of the parking lot. It just seems to me that walking over to the DTD bus stop would be faster, unless the HPB bus was right there (and because it's a loop, the Grosvenor is the last pickup).

The OP wants to drop off a rental car at the Gosvenor and then go to EPCOT.

My suggestions is to take the Grosvenor bus directly to EPCOT.

Others have suggested walking to DTD, taking a Disney bus to an EPCOT resort and then walking to the International Gateway entrance.

I think my suggestion will be the fastest and easiest even if the OP just misses a bus and has to wait almost 30 minutes.

Oh, duh! Thanks for pointing that out, Lewis! My brain wouldn't work beyond getting the OP to Downtown Disney :)
