bus transportation from DTD Hilton?

Have any of you stayed at the DTD Hilton and used the transportation? I have asked earlier on this board and got opinions on the hotel, which were very helpful, but no one knew about the transportation. We will be staying here in December and I am very curious about transportation and want to know what to expect. We have always stayed on Disney property and used the buses or transportation provided instead of driving to the parks.

The DTD hotels use "Downtown Disney" bus transportation. All the other hotels on this stretch use the same bus, but I think the Hilton may have its own bus. Not sure. Anyway, the bus system is as good an the Disney system. The buses are more comfortable than the Disney buses. The do drop you off a little further than the Disney resort buses, but not at all too far. Hope this helps.

I am such a planner and am already thinking about this. Since we usually stay on property, I've never had to worry about this before. I'm sure it will work out just fine.

Also - another option is to walk from the Hilton to Downtown Disney (very short walk) and catch the Disney Buses there.

I just stayed at the Hilton from July 9-11 and I used the DTD buses to get to the parks and back to the hotel. Their is a bus stop in the back of the hotel where you can sit and wait for the bus. At certain times the bus can take you to Downtown Disney also.

missanita- Was there a schedule for the buses, were they on time and were they always full- did you ever have to wait for the next one?

I went to the guest services desk which has a schedule for the buses. The buses were always on time and they were never crowded even though the Hilton was usually the last pick up.
