Hi...
We've used the buses each time at Disney and at various resist:
GF
Poly
WL
Port Orleans
Contemporary

We've never had complaints...except for 1-2 times we waiting FOREVER for animal kingdom buses. Flukes. We go during fall where crowds are not peak.

We are Rope Droppers so typically are out to the main bus stop around 8am at the latest and wait less than 10 minutes for a bus. We leave typically around 7pm and again no to minimal wait for a bus.

This trip we aren't rope dropping. We will be out to the bus stops around 9am. We will leave after evening activities.

I am wondering if the bus situation will change drastically in the mornings (I know it will in the evenings)??? Curious if our good bus luck is due to being early birds.

We are staying at CBR this time if that makes a difference.

Not in my opinion.
DH is deathly allergic to early mornings ;), so we rarely make rope drop. Which is why FP+ works so very well for us, but I digress.
We typically roll out to the bus stops at 9:30/10:00. We rarely wait long at all and most always have a seat.

Following...

We have always been at rope drop but this time my mom and I are going to try to be more relaxed. I'm also wondering if we have to allow more bus time if we want to start our day at the parks around 10 or 11.

Nope- we are not rope droppers. We usually get to the bus stop around 9/930 and never have problems getting on a bus. We've found it much less crowded at 9-10am than when we've gone earlier.

Now, riding the bus at park closing... good luck.

not a rope drop person and never seem to wait too long for the buses to arrive. The buses back are another story since we tend to stay late in the parks.

I really would not want to leave after fireworks etc. We do one of a few things during this time, grab a snack and sit down to watch the hoards of people rushing out to stand in the transportation lines:) browse through the stores or ride a few more rides. Spending another 45 minutes inside the park makes a big difference when heading out.

You'll be totally fine in the mornings. My DH also would NEVER make rope drop! And that's when I'm stressing about the bus. Matter of fact, next trip we have breakfast at BOG and I did that last August, and wish I had used Uber (next time I will - well worth the $15 or so to avoid waiting for an early bus).

I agree after fireworks it's quite hectic! They usually have extra busses running though, but once we just took a taxi instead from a nearby resort (from Illuminations on NYE took a taxi from the Yacht Club - SO much better!).
