Bus Tips for POR

I will be going to POR Sept 23 - Oct 1 and I have heard horror stories about bus transportation and the long waites for busses. Can anyone give any tips on how which bus stop to get on to get a place on the bus

okay, not sure how right I am here...but we stayed at POR in December(week before Christmas) and had also heard horror stories about the busses. We had NO problem at all, though I can tell you that the busses pick up at POFQ first, then make their way over to POR. I believe that the East depot(which is close to the mansions) is the last one on the route at POR. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. We stayed away from that depot, and even used the one at POFQ once(we walked over to get beignets(yum)). I may not have helped much, but honestly, I didn't find the busses too bad when we were there. Have fun!

We stayed at POR last July and used the bus Depot outside of the Mansions(that is where our room was) We had no problems at all with the bus service. Never had a long wiat and never had a problem with the bus being to full.
We are going to be there again this December. I am looking forward to it!

we have stayed at por 10 times over the years and have never had any bus problems. we usually board the bus at the stop by the gift shop, always got a seat and coming back from a park wasn't too bad either. sure there can be long lines when exiting a park but usually once one bus pulls away another is right behind it so the line keeps on moving.

I love POR and have never had a problem with buses. We usually boarded buses at the west depot and always got a seat. I say, relax and don't worry about it. Just have a good time.

We haven't stayed at POR before, but we just returned from POP and our friends took the POR bus from MK to try to get to DTD because it was the only one there. They had to wait about 45 minutes for a bus for DTD to pick them up at POR! I hope the bus service is usually better.

We were there over this past Spring Break and we had one negative bus experience at POR in the week we were there. It was a Saturday EMH morning at AK and we waited almost 30 mins for a bus, I ended up calling Guest Services with my cell phone and letting them know that we had a huge amount of people waiting for AK and they should send two busses. By the time I hung up a bus was there and another was pulling up. The return trip from there was horrible too but that wasn't Disney's fault, since it seems everyone from our resort went to AK that morning and by 2pm a torrential downpour chased everyone out of the park at the same time, all bus lines were long, but ours was by far the longest. We ended up taking a bus to CBR and from there to MGM and back to POR, it seemed better than waiting in a line. Other than that one day, we didn't wait more than 5 mins for any bus to anywhere. In my opinion that one day was a fluke.
