Bus times for Ireland...

I'm off to hunt down TRs but thought it might be easier to just ask - how many hours on the bus were involved with the Ireland trip?

We have some motion sickness issues, and the 5 hours a day of bus travel other tours talk about would be a horrible trip for us. One or two hours every few days sure, several hours or several days of back to back bus-ing would be a problem. TIA!

I can't remember how long the bus rides were, but some of the days it was a couple of hours at least. They do make stops along the way. You can check my TR in my signature line or just check ABD's website and you can google map out where you're driving each day. For example, on the last day you drive up from Dromoland to the Cliffs of Moher. I think it was about an hour each way but it could have been Moher

Very little bus time in Dublin. But traveling by bus to the Killarney and Dromoland Castle and the Cliffs of Moher were probably 1-2 hr rides, broken up with stops. Disney is pretty good about not keeping you on a bus longer than 1.5-2 hours, typically. They break up the rides nicely with stops that generally last a few hours. Or rest stops.

Scotland was more bus time.

Whatever ABD you do take, make sure you talk to the Guides the first day and let them know. They'll work to get you seats at the front of the motorcoach, which does help.

To Raya,

I live in Ireland ( Cork ) & I see the coach tour buses on a regular basis .

Most of the big co. have new buses built from year 2013 onwards .

There are no specific ABD buses .

ABD hire coaches when they need them.

Actual Coach / Bus travel time would be about ( as pointed out ) 2 to 3 hrs before Lunch

Included in that time would be stops .

Lunch

Then more Coach Time & stoppage time & then to Hotel for Dinner.

Distance from Dublin to Blarney 170 Miles

Blarney to Killarney 60 miles

There are NO long distance journeys of over 200 miles one way .
