I'm trying to decide between staying in the springs vs. the grandstand sections of saratoga. We'll be there in November and will probably use the buses since it looks like that's faster than driving. How much longer is the bus ride from grandstand (first stop) vs. springs (last stop)? I'm trying to figure out if we'd rather sit/be first on/off, or just be on the bus less time on the way there?

It's not unusual to see a standing-room only bus by the time it arrives at the Springs, so I prefer a seat and 1st off of Grandstand.

(And 2 of the Grandstand buildings are just as close to the main areas as the Springs buildings)

The order of bus stops at SSR is:

  1. Grandstand
  2. Carousel
  3. Paddock
  4. Congress Park
  5. The Springs
When we stayed at Congress Park in June we did hear lots of complaints from guests that the bus was standing room only or completely full.

It's about 7 minutes to do the loop through the resort (guess - I've never timed it). As a PP said by the time it gets to the Springs it can be quite crowded. If you are traveling with small children/strollers, recommend Grandstand. Also the Grandstand pool area and easy walk to Carriage House and boats are bennies. (Yes, the Springs are closer I just have a Grandstand bias!)
