Hi everyone:wave2:
Starting to get into planning our Disney trip for November 2013 and have a question....which resorts have their own bus system? We did CBR last year so know they do and I would like to stay at CSR this year, but am willing to consider others only if they have their own buses. Value resorts are mostly out because they share and I know what CBR buses were like at the end of the day:mad:

I have stayed in Value muic resort and have book for AoA for next year. We neevr had a problem with crowded busses even though the hotels shared. They go really regularily.

CSR does indeed have its own bus system - with fewer stops than CBR. POFQ and POR share a bus system at some parks and have their own separate bus system at other parks - particularly during busy time periods like park opening and closing. The bus system is really important to me too. I often stay at POFQ solely because they have only one bus stop. I find the bus transportation really efficient here. Even when they share a bus with POR, POFQ is almost always the first stop. AKL has it's own bus transpo too, but there are stops at AKL and the AKL villas.

We had the same experience at All Start Sports this summer. It was also nice because the resorts have separate lines for each park instead of everyone for all buses waiting in the same place. The walk to the bus stop was also much shorter than what we had at POR and CSR last summer.

ETA: Sorry - that was not answering your question. CSR was the only stop when we stayed there, and the resort rooms were beautful.

We stayed at AoA a few weeks ago and there was no sharing. Bus picked up and had straight shots to MK, EP and HS. The only multi stops was a bus to both AK/and typhoon and another bus for Blizzard beach, dtd, and pleasure island.
But no picking up at other resorts. Same on the way back.

There really is no difference between having 3 resorts with one stop each on the same bus and 1 large resort with multiple stops. In fact, it probably takes longer for a bus to make it's way around CBR with 6 stops than it does for one bus to go to all 3 of the All Stars. The All Stars are all connected by their parking lots, so it is more like one resort with 3 stops. Not much travel time among the 3.

Btw, the Pop has its own bus, and the All Stars each have their own bus way more often than they share.:thumbsup2 If a value best fits your budget, no need to rule them out so quickly!

To be honest, it is a bad idea to pick a resort based on the busing. Each and every resort has days where the bus system works like a charm, and days when it sucks. Look at what resort has the amenities you need to have, and which one just feels right to you.

I agree with this completely. With the money you would spend upgrading to a moderate, you could easily afford to rent a car and have more control over where you go when.

The buses are all run by the same central dispatching system, which allows them to send more buses to certain locations when needed.

You could have 100% agreement about which place has the "best" bus service, and something crazy could happen.

*scratches head*. Pop Century shares with no one. Art of Animation shares with no one. All Stars can share with each other but there's only one stop at each of the resorts.

I personally don't like the moderates because you have no idea where your room will be and there are multiple stops at each resort. You could be the very last stop so when the bus gets there, it could be packed the brims.

multiple stops at their resort
CSR
CBR
PO
OKW
SSR
AKL/AKV

multiple stops at other resorts
Polyn
CR/BLT
wl/VWL
bc/bcv
yc
dolphin
swan
BW
as (sometimes)

only stop once
Pop Century
AoA
asm/mo/s - sometimes

as you can see as far as bus transportation the deluxes are the worst.

Pop has it's own bus.
AoA has it's own bus.
CR/BLT shares with at least one other resort, maybe two.
BW/S/D share a bus
YC/BC share a bus.
Sometimes...BW/S/D/YC/BC all share a bus.
AKL-Jambo and Kidani share a bus.
AllStars sometimes have their own bus, sometimes they all share.
CBR has it's own bus but it makes multiple stops within the resort
POR and PO usually share, with POR having multiple stops within the resort.
CSR has it's own bus but has multiple stops within the resort.
WL shares with at least one other resort, sometimes two.
GF shares with at least one other resort.
Polynesian shares with at least one other resort.
OKW has it's own bus but multiple stops within the resort.
SSR has its own bus but multiple stops.

So, as you can see....there are only two resorts that make no addtl stops..either onsite or at another resort...Pop and AoA.
Even if a resort doesn't share with another resort, it is going to make multiple stops within the resort itself before heading to a park.

with the epcot resorts - sometimes they all share one bus. D&s, yc, bc and BW - if you back to the resort or to the parks in what Disney considers the off times.
