Bus service from parks

Am I right in thinking that there would be more to Disney springs than individual hotels?

We’re due to stay at Saratoga but I’m thinking of requesting accommodation near to Disney Springs so we can get the bus back there and then walk to the unit.

On our recent visit we had a horrendous wait at Epcot to get back to Animal Kingdom Lodge. I don't remember seeing that many other buses, going anywhere, at that time.

There are lots of shops and restaurants at DS. Is that what you mean?

Bus service from the parks to Disney Springs begins at 4pm. So if you are going back to your resort earlier in the day, just take the bus back to your resort.

No I’m just thinking it might be easier to get the bus back to DS and walk to SSR rather than wait for a SSR bus as that then also takes its time getting round the resort due to the number of pick up / drop off locations.

Mind you the bus stop at DS has moved now I think so less convenient to go there and walk to SSR.

If you want to stop for food or shopping, I’d definitely take the DS bus and then walk to your resort, but if you just want to go to your resort, I’d wait for your resort bus. Yes, the DS bus stops are a bit of a hike to SS now.

Nope. First it would have to be later than 4pm. Then, you would have to wait for the bus, ride to DS. Then walk to SSR (or boat). With the new bus area, it's a fairly long walk. Now, if you're in Congress Park, fine. But other areas are going to add significant time to your walk. I did it once...late at night. I just missed the last boat, so walked. I was in Grandstand. Oh man...that was a hike.
I would just take the bus to SSR.

It’s a long walk either way but I got to ask, did you walk by where cirque was or go all the way round and use the bridge by where the old bus stop used to be?
