This is a two part question..

1. My room reservations for my upcoming stay is slightly messy. I do have a reservation at BWV for the night of a Moonlight Magic, but I'm on waitlists for that night and other nights at Kidani, and I'm "homeless" one night in the middle of my 7 night stay. In other words, my reservation will likely change in the next three months as I piece together a functional resort stay. I may even have to switch to a non-dvc cash room for a few nights so that I don't have to do too many hotel switching. If I switch my reservation from a DVC room to a cash room, will this affect my Moonlight Magic admission? (assuming I get admission?)

2. If I do end up having to reserve a cash stay at a non-dvc resort, like Port Orleans, will Disney have buses to that resort during Moonlight Magic?

Thank you!!

I answered part of my own question.. it says that any cancellation in a resort reservation would be a cancellation to Moonlight Magic reservation. That seems kind of intense if I'm just switching DVC resorts due to a waitlist coming through.. I might have to call in today to get more details..

I'm not sure about how your resort reservation would affect your Moonlight Magic reservation.

But! We stayed at POFQ last weekend and did Moonlight Magic, and there were buses to all resorts. So you will have no problem if you have to stay at a non-DVC resort that night.

That is GREAT news, thank you!

I didn’t think you had to have a room booked to go....however those staying on property can book before DVCer’s just coming for that event.

I think the intention of the language is to try to prevent people from possibly booking a room just to get the early MM reservation, and then cancelling the room as soon as they get it (to get a head start on the other non-disney resort people). It's just something for me to keep in mind I guess and double check when my room reservation is modified.
