Bus service better at POP or All Stars?

We normally have our own car but this year we are flying and not renting a car. Based on bus service should we stay at POP or All-Stars? Thanks for any input!

I have stayed at POP and All star sports and all star movies within the past year. I couldn't really see much difference between any of them. We had some slightly longer waits for the pop bus (april 26-may 3, 2007) when leaving the parks at random times of the day. We also had to stand fairly regularly. But, on the plus side, the pop busses only go to pop and no other resorts. I stayed at sports in october and movies on President's day weekend. We almost never waited more than 10 minutes going to or from the parks and usually it was less than 5. We only had to stand a time or two each trip. The only times we shared busses was when we went to downtown disney and when returning from AK in the middle of the day.
Then we stayed at the Grand Floridian earlier this week......PITIFUL!!!! Slow, slow, slow and stops, stops, stops! We waited for almost 30 minutes after Fantasmic at DHS Tuesday pm. Sure, the GF is beautiful, but for bus service, I'll take the values any day!!!!!

I've stayed at POP several times (Janx1, Mayx3, Septx3, and Decx2) and also at AS Sports (May and Dec) and AS Music last Sept. Even though POP only has the one bus stop, to me the All Stars have always had better bus service. Going to the parks I have never had to stand on an All Stars bus and coming back from the parks I've only stood a few times. The buses at the AS also seem to come faster than the ones for POP. If you stay at AS Sports you will be the first pickup and the first drop off which is very nice.

FYI: I've also stayed at POFQ, CBR, CSR, WL, AKL, and BW. The worst bus service we've ever had was definitely at BW and CBR. The best we've had was at CSR (even though we did not particularly like the resort).

We've stayed at both several times and like a PP stated, the bus service is about the same. Since the resorts are similar in size, all of POP vs all three All Starts together, there are about the same number of people, but just more spread out at the All Stars bus stops. All Stars may be a bit better since all buses don't go to all three resorts. On all of our trips on the buses on our last stay in December, the buses only went to all three resorts one time.

We've stayed at POP and ASMo and I didn't see any difference in the Disney Transportation bus service. The mutliple stops at the All Stars hasn't been an inconvenience for us. Most of the day the buses stop at all three resorts, but at park closing, when the bus stops are really crowded, there is a separate bus for each resort. You didn't say if you were using Magical Express, but I think the ME service at the All Stars is better than at POP. Since POP is so much larger, our experience has been that there more people waiting at the same time to go back to the airport. We stayed at POP last January and there were a lot of people waiting with us for the ME bus. Took a long time to get us loaded. In fact, the bus couldn't accommodate everyone and a second bus had to be called for. We were lucky and got on the first bus, so I don't know how long those folks had to wait for the second bus to show up. We could hear the driver talking to the dispatcher and it sounded like there was a lot of confusion. And this was on a Monday evening, which probably isn't the peak time for people to be heading home. I've never seen a big crowd waiting for ME at the All Stars. Don't take my comments as a criticism of ME - I absolutely love it.
