Bus Service at OKW...

Is it necessary to take 2 sets of buses at OKW to get to/from the parks?

One for internal shuttling and then you must get on a 2nd for Park transport? (similar to FW)

I thought I read this on an old thread... Hoping I'm reading it wrong!

Direct park busses are available from all OKW bus stops. The internal bus is simply a Downtown Disney bus that stops at Hospitality House first, then the remaining bus stops. All other busses stop at Peninsular Rd first and Hospitality last.

There is no bus transfer needed.

The "Internal Bus" not only stops at HH first, it also stops there last before heading to DTD and TL. It is the only bus that allows to you hop the bus at the front and get back to any bus stop.

HH is closest to the DTD boat.

the park buses travel all around OKW. they just stop at HH before leaving OKW (except for the DTD bus, which stops at HH when entering and leaving OKW.)

There are 5 bus stops within OKW. The buses for each park stop at each bus stop in this order:
Penninsular Road
South Point
Old Turtle Pond Road
Miller's Road
Hospitality House

Since Hospitality House is the last stop, you know you will be leaving the resort right after that one. It takes buses about 8-12 minutes to go through all the bus stops at the resort, so it is a plus to be at Miller's Road or HH when going TO the parks and Penninsular Road and South Point when coming back to the resort. The boat service to DTD and SSR is from the dock at HH, but the internal bus also goes to DTD and you can also walk there from the path at the back of the cul-de sac behind building 55 off South Point.

If the busses are a concern, make your ressie near HH so you will be nearer the bus and boat. Its a big place and if you are a distance from the HH your bus ride may be a bit longer.

Or ask for Peninsular Road area - first stop off the bus or on the bus. And if you just miss it at PR, you can walk over to HH and catch the bus there.
