Bus Service: ASMu vs POP

The backstory: We are staying at POFQ this September hoping to book a BB offer for next Fall. It will have to be a value resort next trip so we can save for our 15th anniversary at CSR in 2014.

My question: In value season, which resort do you think has the better bus service - POP or ASMu? I know POP doesn't share (for now - still awaiting news on the AoA situation), but I found it to be pretty crowded last September. We never got a seat no matter where we were going, and waited for long periods of time at the parks going home.

I know all the AS resorts share, but what are they like crowd-wise in value season and how does it impact the bus situation? I think ASMu is the second stop (after ASSp and before ASMo), correct?

I really want to try ASMu (DH wants to request Rock Inn ), but we enjoyed POP so much - other than the buses - that I'm torn.

Any suggestions, ideas, comments, or experiences welcome!

From now on anytime I stay at the All Stars I'm going to book at Sports for that exact reason. You are correct about the order; Sports, Music, Movies. It does affect the chances of you getting a seat.

I've been on the bus before when Sports gets all the seats, and then it's standing room only for Music, and then the driver has to call another bus to go for Movies. When I stayed at Movies I actually ended up walking to Music in the AM to have a better chance of getting on a bus.

There will sometimes be seperate buses for the three resorts, but not always. I've seen that more at park closing then at any other time though.

The buses have never been an issue for me at Pop. Sometimes I had to wait at park closing for the next bus, but I've always found transportation there to be better overall. And aside from AK, Pop is also closer to the parks then the All Stars, so it's less time on the bus. I realize it's only a few minutes, but every minute in Disney counts.
