Here’s our last post regarding the great CM’s at WDW. (this is only posted to disAbilities).
The bus drivers were great! We simply waited at the rear entry site, and almost all of the drivers would allow us to load first (we usually didn’t use the ramp, but my wife would set Mason (with his crutches) on the bus, then she would load with Claire and Benjamin (with his walker). Then I would load with the 2 strollers! Whew! But the bus drivers were, by and large, great and would help us in any way possible. There were a couple of outliers, where the bus drivers did not recognize our special needs (or those with guests in WC for that matter), as well as a handful of rude guests. But mostly, they made the part of our trip that we were dreading the most (loading that crew and gear!) a pleasant experience.

Thank you for sharing, Wade. For the most part, we have also found the bus drivers to be helpful (those outliers are annoying), but at least the good ones made up for the bad.

I hope the rude guests took a moment to think about all you were dealing with, not just at the moment, but every day.

Sounds like, overall, a very good experience. Now if we can just brainwash those rude ones and 'outliers'...

They just need an extra heavy dose of pixie dust.

Had a few of those rude guests and outliers this trip myself. Ninety nine percent of the people are wonderful. It is that 1% that you would like to do bodily injury to. The award for most wanted to run over was the woman who decided to stand in front of me during the Star Wars motorcade so she could get her wonder photos. Hope she enjoys them because my view was of her lovely rearend not the Star Wars characters. I was in tears.
Later I did get to see them and the castmembers were great about running interference with the able bodied who in the way. My favorite was Chewbacca. I got some awesome photos. I hope they come out.
