We are staying on I drive and were wondering what is the best way to get back from the parks after the parades at night. Shold we take the car or are there buses back from disney etc.

You should contact your hotel to find this out, as it's on a hotel-by-hotel basis. Disney itself does not provide ANY transportation to any non-Disney destinations.

Parking is free only to Disney resort guests.

For Universal - if you purchase ONE adult annual pass, one of the perks is free parking in that garage.

All the times my family & I have been on International Drive (for shopping, always stay onsite at WDW) I have never seen Buses from other hotels that say going to Magic Kingdom etc. The only ones I have seen are the lynk buses but those are apart of the city of Orlando & do not have any hotel names on the side. So with that being said I suggest taking your car to WDW. Who knows how often these buses have service going to WDW, so at least with your car you can leave when you want & come back whenever you want.

We have already bought our ultimate pass for disney and flexipass for universal - do we still get free parking there

I don't think any of your tickets give you free parking.

I did make one error with Disney. Parking is also free for Annual Passholders there.

Absolutely have your own car.

If you have to depend on the hotel's bus, you don't know who's driving it, the condition of the bus, if they're habitually late, etc.

Too many unknowns!
