Bus or car to DTD?

We are planning on going to DOwntown DIsney on Monday, then to Typhoon lagoon from there in the afternoon. I am wondering if it is better to take the Disney bus or drive over? I had seen it mentioned that parking is a pain at DTD, but I have also seen it takes awhile on the bus. Any advice? We leave TONIGHT!

We took the bus once and will never do it again...it took forever! I have not had a problem parking, the lot is pretty big. Go for the driving, then when you're ready to head out, no waiting for the bus, just jump in the car & go! Hey, have a blast!

I like answers as well. We took the boat from POFQ to DtD several years ago (2000) and the boat was ok going down but getting back on the bus was a nightmare.

Do you still wait FOREVER for a bus?

I don't mind waiting on the bus, so I recommend that. It's really up to you and what your prefrences are.

I agree, I did the bus to DTD once and I will NEVER do that again. We must have made what seemed like 15 stops and took over an hour not to mention the wait at the bus stop at DTD. Taking the bus is much more painful than parking.

It sounds like you will be going to DTD in the morning? I think the parking is more of a problem at night. And the biggest heache to park is over by the marketplace. I would suggest you drive, if you are planning on making purchases. Have fun!
