Bus or a Cheap way to get to The World from Sanford?

Is anyone aware of a cheaper option to get to and from Disney hotels from Sanford?

DME never provided service from Sandford and only provided service from MCO (Orlando) airport as far as I know. Sanford required you to rent a car or take one of those car services.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get to Disney from Sanford since there was never ME service.

There are other current threads on the Sanford transportation question. Some people apparently purchased airline tickets into Sanford to save a few $$$ without realizing that added cost of transportation.

I think the options for getting from Sanford to Disney World are:
- rent a car
- Uber/Lyft
- taxi
- car service such as Tiffany Towncar or FL Tours

Uber cost me $50 from Sanford Airport to HGVC Sea World on Int'l Drive.

Wow! Thank you! I haven't booked anything yet. 50.00 is great. My problem is getting back to the airport for a morning flight.

You can book an Uber a day in advance before your ready to head back to the airport. They will let you know then, who will be there to pick you up in the morning.

Just an update. An Uber from Sanford to Art of Animation was 58.00. Much less than the Mears quote. Also, I did schedule an Uber the day before for the return trip. Same amount, but of course I was worried they "might" cancel since it was a 3:30 am pickup. Worked out!!! All good!

I've always ubered to and from Sanford w/ no problem and a reasonable cost. My last uber offered to pick me up and bring me back w/o charging uber fees and I just paid him directly. It was $40.

Never understood why there aren't better shuttle options from Sanford to WDW, it's only 40 miles away.
In California, there are shuttle buses to Disneyland from 6 area airports, INCLUDING San Diego which is 120 miles away......although the shuttle only runs three times a day.
