bus lineup at parks...

this may be an odd question, but dh swore on our last trip that next time we'd stay at a resort w/a bus stop that's closest to the park gates... (unfortunately, deluxes, which are probably the closest, are out of our range, so we're thinking a mod instead of value)

so, does anyone know the general order of the parks' bus lineup (specifically POFQ)? (i.e. at magic kingdom, pop century's bus is #18, the absolute farthest away from the gate)

Bus stops are not based on Value/Moderate/Deluxe levels.

Personally, I would go with whatever RESORT you like best... walking an extra 100 feet really shouldn't be a deciding factor. It's like saying "Nah, we won't go on Space Mountain because it's at the far end of Tomorrowland. " Besides, each park is different. Might be closer at one park, and further at another park.

We thought the same thing after our first few trips. But, then we started to notice that there was no rhyme or reason to the pick up spots at each park!! If BWI was close at MK, it was far away at AK. Or if POR was a little closer at Epcot it was way the heck back at MGM!! Tyler is right....stay at a resort you like. The nice thing about POR is the boat to DTD. We found that to quite a nice ride at night.

hmmm... no rhyme or reason... it seemed that one mod (csr?) was almost always first, but i'm just not sure and wishing i knew for sure...

and for me an extra 100 feet doesn't mean a lot, but our next trip might likely be a family reunion type w/my elderly dad who has limited mobility, uses a walker to get around and will use a wheelchair at the parks but once outside the gate (from gate to bus stop) an extra 100 feet could make or break him! and since no one in our group has any resort preferences yet, i figured i'd throw this on the spreadsheet of pros/cons for different resorts...

(i personally have a resort preference, pop century, but the family is leaning towards mods for a little more resort "stuff" to do, hence my need to research all the issues)

One thing to also keep in mind... even if you pick a resort with the closest bus stops, that doesn't mean that's where you will be dropped off. Buses drop off at the load zone in which they are dispatched to, which could very well be the furthest bus stop.

Another thing to keep in mind -- each resort has loaner wheelchairs that you can borrow for the length of your stay -- for free! You can take them on the buses, and into the parks.

HUH?! you mean we don't have to rent a wheelchair in the park every day? REALLY?! we could just borrow one for the length of stay at the hotel and use it like it's "ours?" WOW! how cool is that?!

THANKS!
