Bus from theme parks to Disney Springs

I always thought that there should be bus service from the theme parks to Disney Springs in the evening to eliminate those people using the resort buses, especially SSR.

Looks like Disney finally agrees with me as theme park to DS bus service begins August 28 beginning at 4pm.

Disney has turned DS into a huge outside mall and restaurant venue. Apparently the revenue being generated at DS makes paying for transportation financially feasible.

They will just park at Disney Springs in the morning and walk over to SSR to catch a theme park bus.

I would think that Disney would rather you pay for parking at theme parks. That is why they don't give easy access to and from the parks from the DS parking lot.

I've read that they've removed the parking lot nearest to SSR, so from the other public lot to SSR the walk is about 20 minutes. Adding to that another 20-30 in transportion time (between waiting to actual travel time), I hope this should discourage a lot of people.

I thought that there used to be. But then off site guests were using DTD for free parking and riding to the parks which is why it was eliminated. Now, it appears Disney wants to make it easier to get to DS at the end of the day so that you can go shopping and dining ($$$$'s). Smart for them to do that to encourage visits and spending.
