Thanks starry solo! What time does the park open? If not, get a bus to HS and walk…or take the boat
OP would take the bus from GF to DHS and then walk or take the boat to YC. That’s the route I’d take, instead of GF to MK to YC.I think it’s easier to get the bus from MK to Yacht Club. I thought busses only run from park to park after hopping starts at 2 pm .
I would not walk to MK. You would have to go through bag check which could take some time. I would take the bus from GF to DHS and then the boat or walk to the Yacht Club. The boats at DHS are running fast for drop off in the morning and you should be able to catch one without too much waiting. Is there a bus from MK to Yacht Club around 9am in the morning? I stay in Grand Floridan and need to visit Yacht Club in the morning. Thanks.
Neither is the Skyliner - have to transfer at CBR. And the IG Skyliner station is farther from YC than the Yacht & Beach dock is.I also think taking a bus to HS would be the best option at that time of the morning. Walking or the boat is a good option---but you could also consider taking the Skyliner to the Epcot International Entrance and then walking from there over to the YC. Keep in mind that the boat would stop at the Swan/Dolphin before going to Yacht Club from HS so it isn't a straight shot.
We once made the mistake of riding the Skyliner from DHS for the fun of it during the rope drop hours and hit a very long line of people waiting for the Skyliner at CBR. The line was so long, wrapping past the Starbucks kiosk at CBR, that we got right back on the Skyliner to return to DHS. Then we walked to the YC.DEFINITELY bus from GF to DHS.
I personally would no doubt then ride Skyliner just because I love it and consider it to be a WDW ATTRACTION!
The Boat has the advantage of a drop off AT Yacht Club and Skyliner has the advantage of continuous loading.
I would feel the walk from IG to YC would be worth the FUN of Skyliner!
The walk from the Skyliner to the Yacht Club would be almost as far as the walk from Hollywood Studios to the Yacht Club. I'm certain it would take longer.I also think taking a bus to HS would be the best option at that time of the morning. We hit a long line too, back when Epcot didn’t open until 11 (and of course we had completely forgotten that). Now that DHS and Epcot both open fairly early, the Skyliner is a fun way to travel between them if it’s not park open or close time.We once made the mistake of riding the Skyliner from DHS for the fun of it during the rope drop hours and hit a very long line of people waiting for the Skyliner at CBR. The Skyliner is a fun ride and worth a trip for fun, but not at rope drop or closing time, in our experience.![]()
If the weather is bad, the boat may not be running. And if the weather is not nice the Skyliner sometimes does not run. So I would plan on Bus to HS the take a launch to BC. As previous poster stated the boats are a plenty in both directions at that time of AM

We've experienced having to turn back to the dock due to bad weather. Then having to decide if we run for cover at the bus stop or go for it and walk back to our resort in the downpour.Duh, forgot about that. Been a while since we stayed at Boardwalk and were using the boats. Wouldn't have been nice if Walt found a place without the crazy weather that Florida has. But the if the price is right the price is right. Luckily for us we all find a way to enjoy.
