Bus from BWV to MK

What stops does the bus make going from BWV to MK? How long does it usually take once you are on the bus? Trying to decide if we should stay at BWV or closer to MK (VWL or BLT) since we'll spend a lot of time at MK.

I'm trying to remember if BWV is on the same route as Swain/Dolphin/YC/ BC. The last time we were there, I don't think that it was.

The route changes. Most of the many times I have taken the bus from BWV to MK the bus goes from the BWV to Swan then Dolphin then MK. On the way back it has stopped at BWV first. A few times we have had a direct bus. I have heard of occasions when YC/BC were also on the route, but I have not experienced that. We have used that bus in virtually every month except July through September. I would guess maybe a 40 minute ride?? BLT would definitely be faster, VWL somewhat faster.

Usual:

BW to two stops at S/D to MK to BW to S/D

Can be long trip going. More than any bus at MK, the BW/S/D seems to never come when you are trying to leave MK. Had an historical wait in March. We reached the bus stop at MK at 7 p.m. and the bus came at 8:20, meanwhile, YC/BC and many others had 6 to 7 busses come during that time. Explanation/excuse given: none. Another problem: the bus will sometimes just sit for 5 or more minutes at one of the S/D stops when going to MK. I have been going to BWV for 12 years and the bus system for it has always been the worst that I have experienced. For many years, of course, it also stopped at YC/BC and the funny thing is it has not really gotten any faster since shedding those stops. Have stayed at AKV four times in last two years and the bus system there in comparison made me feel like I had died and gone to heaven.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to try for BLT or VWL at 7 months (which is next Tuesday). I'm assuming something will be available for late Jan/early Feb.

We visit in busier times and the BWV bus goes directly to MK when we get on and there has always been room to board. On the return from MK, the first stop has been S&D and we get off there and walk over the bridge. So its always been direct both ways for us-perfect.

if you can and have enough points go with BLT.

because BLT you can take the monrail to Epcot - so fairly easy access to 2 parks - like you had at BWV

If you plan most of your time at MK, then I'd definitely try for BLT or VWL if I were you.

We usually didn't do MK in the morning when staying in the BW area....we'd do Epcot and then take the monorail over from Epcot to MK later in the day.

Yea thats the same when we have been there. But the last pick up is at BWV and then directly to MK so no waiting at all. And yes on the way back we get off at the first stop as well.

We just got back from BWV and we found it easier to walk into the back entrance of Epcot turn left and go to the front of the park, catch the monorail to the transportation center and then the express to MK. Sounds like a lot, but usually from the BWV to MK only took 15 minutes. Quicker than waiting and drive time for the buses.

Doesn't this require a park hopper pass? (sounds like you are entering Epcot)

Yes, you would be walking through EPCOT and thus need park admission.

Not an issue if you have a hopper or annual, though

15 minutes? It usually takes us at least 30 to 40 minutes going that route. We figure 5 minutes from the BWV to the International Gateway, 10 minutes from there to the Monorail, 10 minutes waiting and travel time to TTC and 5 to 10 minutes transferring to MK monorail

Yeah, a 15 minute walk from BWV all the way to the front of Epcot to the monorail station would be a pretty fast one.... and I walk fast!

After reading everything, I decided on BLT. I booked a 2 bedroom lake view this morning. MK view was also available but I just couldn't let myself use all of our points.
