Bus Depot @ DTD???

Just before our trip in September we read that the bus depot/transportation hub at Downtown Disney was being remodeled and had been shut down. Does anyone know if it's been re-opened now? We're going again in January & have dinner ressies @ Cape May and are staying at ASMu. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I do not know the answer about the bus stop at DTD. But are you going to be in DTD prior to your dinner? Or was it your plan to leave from the Allstar resort and go to the BC/YC from there?
The reason I ask is that I do not like to use DTD as my transportation hub unless it is abolutely necessary. It can be very time consuming.
If your dinner is not too late, you would do better to go to the AK(if its not an EMH night then the park will generally close at 5:00) and then take the BC/YC bus from there.
The fastest most direct route would be to take a taxi from the Allstar Music, the cost will probably be around $15.00 or so.

Thanks - last time we stayed at POP & ended up taking the bus to Epcot hoping to catch a bus to BC/YC only to find out that they don't do one. We had to go through Epcot out the International Gateway and to the BC/YC. Really don't want to do that this time so will probaby take your route. Thanks for the info...................

You can also take the bus to MGM (Disney Hollywood Studios) and then either walk or take the boat over to BC for dinner. That's what we usually do if we aren't staying at BW. It can take awhile though, so plan accordingly.
I would never recommend heading to DTD and transferring there, to go from resort to resort......much, much longer. The only time I will do that is if all the other parks are closed for the night.

The bus stops at DTD are fully operational as far as I know. They are located approximately in the middle of the parking lot opposite Planet Hollywood, not far from the PI main entrance.

Its was the Marpetplace bus stop, it was down for about a week, but they work 24 hours on it and has since been open for at least a few months now.

Now the Bus stop at P.I. is in need of work next, but that won't happen till after the Hoildays, and I am not sure but they may just simply located the pickup/drop off to another spot at P.I.

Thanks - that's the stop that I was referring to. The entire time we were there in September we kept hearing that it was being repaired, so we never ventured to DTD since we only wanted to shop in the marketplace area. Appreciate the help - now we can plan our first night at WDW by going to DTD.

Thanks - that's the stop that I was referring to. The entire time we were there in September we kept hearing that it was being repaired, so we never ventured to DTD since we only wanted to shop in the marketplace area. Appreciate the help - now we can plan our first night at WDW by going to DTD.

That's a shame because the PI stop was open, and you could have gotten off there and just walked past Planet Hollywood and gone right. Granted the Marketplace stop is in a better traffic controlled area, but getting to the Marketplace would not have been a problem.
