I think this thread has come to an ending point.
If someone needs to sit on the bus, it's up to that person to make sure they plan for how thy can do that. Other guests on the bus have no responsibility to give up their seats so someone else. Some will get up, but that doesn't mean those who don't get up are rude.
Thy have no obligation to get up and very well may have their own reasons for sitting.
