Burning Settlers Cabin

I don't know if it is still there but I do remember it when on the River Boat ride. Maybe someone will come along who has been recently and let us know if it is still there.

It is not currently "burning" but it is there. It is just past Big Thunder Mountain and can be seen from both the Walt Disney World Railroad (that Circles the park) and the Libertybelle Riverboat that circles the Rivers of America. The burners were turned off during the year long rehab of the Riverboat and have not been turned back on. They have not said when/if they will be burning again anytime soon.

It was burning in mid-August during the day one time (I could see it from BTMRR). I found it odd and wasteful since the boat ride was closed and few would really see it.

The cabin burners have been shut off for awhile at WDW. As mentioned above they have made no comment as to when (if) they might be turned back on. The Riverboaters have been writing it on their daily paperwork since coming back into service and they have been told they are not broken, they are off!
