Burned by MyPoints - super slow redemption

Just a heads up that MyPoints is taking over 6 weeks to redeem points. We saved points up all year for our vacation but it appears that we will not get the gift cards in time. We redeemed in early December, but they don't even appear as fulfulled yet, which means they have not even shipped. Bummer, as we redeemed for a couple restaurants that we don't even have locally. We have always had quick turnaround in the past, so I'm not sure what the delay is. I know it's not an issue with my account, as we redeemed on 3 separate accounts - nothing.

Make sure you plan accordingly!
 
They are always slow in November and December, I think it's because of all of the people redeeming points for Christmas gifts and things like that. I'm sorry you won't have them for your trip. Have you sent them an email, maybe they can tell you what's going on.
 
Yes, send them an email. Even during busy times, it's never taken...what 6 weeks???....to receive the gift cards. I don't think it's ever taken more than 2-3 weeks.
 
Is this for ur Disney visa? I forget where... but I know u can get the points in the park.... I think its epcot... but I forget... and they make a quick call to the credit card and can put it on a card for u right there.
 

I redeemed MYPOINTS in early Dec. also and still haven't gotten my gift card. Not happy about it either.:sad2:
 
When I contacted MyPoints customer service, they confirmed that my orders were all pending. They told me that the redemptions can take up to 6 weeks. Crazy...
 
I'm not happy with mypoints, but for another reason. You have to be careful about what you redeem for. I got a gift certificate to Omaha Steaks, it said nowhere that you could only use it online and only for a limited number of items. Of course there is $17 shipping when you order online. Not so good for a $25 certificate. There was no information at all indicating this, and of course, there is no return, no anything. all redemptions are final. So just be careful!
 
Happened to me too - I knew I was sort of taking a chance but I went ahead and redeemed for another 25.00 Landry's - I was close to a 50 but thought I would for sure get this one for my upcoming trip (thurs). I emailed them and got the 6 week email too.

We do get there often so I can use it another time but was trying to make this a cheap trip and know I am going to both TREX and RFC this trip (niece and nephew trip).

I ordered my Amazon.com GC on December 6th and still haven't received mine.
 
I ordered gift cards on september 21 for christmas presents, as did my husband. Not a single card was ever received to this date. :mad:

They finally just returned the points to my account last week, no email or anything, I just noticed that my balance was higher.

The other cards have still not come, and the points have not been returned.
Everytime they send an email they say they are looking into it and he just have to wait :headache: The latest contact was on 12/19, when they said they would resolve it in 7-10 business days - it has been 15.

I am sorry :laughing: I totally hijacked your thread to vent!!! I am sooooo mad though!!! We literally did not have a single gift for any of our nieces and nephews :mad:
 
The last few times I've redeemed my MyPoints - within the last year or two - they haven't even processed the order until at least two weeks after request. Different gift cards every time, too.

Oh, but they remove the points from my account immediately, though...
 
I am still waiting on a gift card that was redeemed the end of November. I did receive 2 out of 3 before the holidays, this one was going to be a gift but I'll just keep it and use it if I ever get it!! I am giving it 10 weeks, then I'm demanding my points back in my account.:mad:
 
I cashed out 12/8/2009 for Landry's and rec'd it last week. Maybe they'll be there soon.
 
I ordered a RFC on 12/4 and I'm still waiting. It has always been no longer than 2-3 weeks. I wonder what's up with them lately.

I didn't realize that you could buy Omaha Steaks any where else other than online. They must have retail store too?

On another note has anyone been able to call directly to MYPOINTS customer service?
I googled and thesse are numbers that came up can't gaurantee they are current as they were from dated information but since they are both toll free it won't cost you anything to call....

I ordered a $25 Walmart gift card on 11/19 and it's still showing as pending. I e-mailed them for a second time on 1/8 and asked what was going on. This was the response I got:

"Dear Kristin, Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services. We apologize for any inconvenience. Due to the holiday season, MyPoints is experiencing a delay in fulfilling some of our more popular rewards. Unfortunately Member Services is unable to determine exactly when the Fulfillment Team will be able to process your redemption. Your redemption is currently listed as pending. If you wish to no longer wait you can request to cancel the redemption and have the Points put back into your account. Please accept 25 Goodwill Points for your continued patience. Again we are sorry for the delay and appreciate your loyalty to the MyPoints program. Sincerely, Jermina MMyPoints Member Services"

I've also ordered a $50 Walmart gift card since then and it's still showing as pending. I'm also having a lot of problems with Office Depot orders being credited correctly. It's so frustrating!
 
I redeemed a gift card on Dec. 7th and still don't have it. I agree this time of year is very slow.
 
Has anyone else noticed they've just raised the amount of points needed to redeem as well? :mad: I always got the $10 Panera card for 1400 points, but you now need 1500. I'm ready to cash mine in and cancel my account with them. I'd certainly get a lot fewer emails every day!
