Burlington VT.... What a FUN city!!

We had a GREAT time this weekend. Church Street was just THE BEST. They were having a "fortune cookie" sale... pick a fortune cookie and it has anywhere from 10% to 40% off your entire purchase! I love stuff like that! I got 40% in Pier 1..... only was buying $6 worth of stuff.... unfortunately my friend was buying a bistro table and stools and only got 10% I thought she was going to be sick when I got my 40%.

We ate twice at some of those little sidewalk restaurants.... it was very nice. I didn't like my meal at SweetWaters on Saturday night, so they didn't charge us for it. I couldn't believe it.

I would definately go back to Burlington.... thank you to everyone who gave me tips before we left!

You are right, it is a GREAT place to visit. I live/work in the area and love it.

Not sure how far away you live but you should come back in about 3 weeks when the fall foliage is breath taking.

So thanks for the great comments on Vermont. Now that I am a mom of two I am so glad I live here.

I am glad I came across this post. My husband and I were looking for somewhere in Vermont to visit. We live in New England and this is the only New England state we have never visited. Sounds nice.

I was wondering how you made out! So glad to hear you had a fun time. I appreciate Vermont's beauty but I think the only place I could really live in VT would be the Burlington area. It's beautiful and has lots to do.

We really wished we had another day there. Seems like we were just getting to know the area and it was time to go.

I told my dh- "I could live here." and then he reminded me..."No ocean" but if it wasn't for the lack of saltwater, I definately could live in that area.
