I have a Burley D'Lite carrier that hooks up to my bike. I can buy an attachment to convert it to a stroller. I am concerned because the attachment sticks out a head of the stroller quite a bit. Here is a picture . Is this too much for WDW? Thanks.

Unfortunately, I can see lots of people being tripped by the extension on the front. Could you rent a stroller instead or buy an inexpensive umbrella stroller?

I think with the extension it would be awkward and difficult to manage at the stroller parking areas. I would pick up an inexpensive folding stroller with a basket underneath (in fact that is what I did since I had an awkward shaped all terrain stroller when DS and DD were little). It was worth the 29. I paid for it and it was light and easy to manage on WDW transportation as well as through the parks. I prefer to have my own over renting since it is more economical and since you will have it from the bus to the resort and whereever else you might need it.

Here is my bike carrier thread. My daughter is 65 pounds and about 47" tall. We need a stroller and also should fold up for the monorail. What would be a good stroller. We were considering a baby jogger because they go up to 100 pounds.

Only kidding. It looks but like it might be difficult to use in some spots (especially if you take the walking path in the animal kindom). The last two trips I pushed a stroller and even then it was hectic parking it at times. I think a smaller one would be easier.

I've merged your threads, and am moving this discussion to the Disney for Families board...there are a lot of stroller discussions there.

IMHO it will be way to big and awkward for WDW, have you used it much as a stroller? I am asking because we had one for my dd's and loved it on the bike but found it awful for a stroller. My kids didn't like being so "inside" when strolling but liked it while biking.

You won't be able to get it on and off a bus, monorial, or tram and if you can't fit it through the turnstyle it can't be used. I also can't imagine trying to manuver it though the crowds.

You didn't say how old your child is but at 65lbs and 47" I am assuming a preschooler at least. I think your best bet may be to use a rental if/when needed. They hold bigger kids better they are easy to push and you can rent only as needed.

Hope this helps
TJ

Well, we went in December when the crowds were lighter, but we used our Burley. It was a lifesaver, because it held more than just the twins--it held cargo, too. I will be taking it again. It manuevers so much better than a stroller that except for the people who thought it was fine to step right in front of you, we had no stroller issues.

When the crowds are lighter it's probably ok to use a stroller like this however if you're going during a busy time it's not unheard of for CM's to request guests "trade" larger 3-wheel jogging strollers for rental strollers (at no extra charge to the guest).

I also could see someone tripping over that though so just be aware they might ask you to leave it with the cm's at the gate and trade it for a double rental instead.
