Burgers....Yum

While all the CS have switched to wheat buns which some report as crumbly, hadn't heard that the TS have. If they have, that's new, and I'd pick a place that isn't run by Disney if that's happened.

I found the buns to be stale and hard on our last two trips. Our first trip in 2007 the buns were really good. Bad decision on disney's part to mess with the bun. And now they have messed with the hot dogs.

Advice for Disney: leave good food alone.

Based on our recent experience the burgers at WDW have indeed been downgraded to CS quality. Beaches and Cream served us the exact same pre-formed patty that we later received at the ESPN Club. While I don't mind it so much at B&C, I was not happy to get a crappy, thawed flatburger from a restaurant that actually has a real kitchen.

And if you look closely at some of the pictures that have been posted here you can see that the patties are exactly the same, which leads me to believe that they are predominantly using frozen crap for burgers now. We did not have issues with the hamburger buns, however. ;)

I can also report that the "new and improved" hot dogs at Casey's are disgusting.

EDITED TO ADD: The burger at B&C tasted much better than the one I received at ESPN Club.

I thought the burgers at beaches and cream looked delicious when we were in there the other day for dessert.

My first choice is Le Cellier - it really tastes like a steak burger. My second choice is the Plaza.

If you're not on the dining plan, I'd suggest The Fountain at the Dolphin resort. It's off the beaten path, and I thought they had a really good burger.

I have to say B&C first and Sci-Fi second. If you do not have your own transporation, and really want to do B&C you can easily walk throught the Internation Gateway at Epcot for lunch or dinner. They do not take ADR's so if you don't want to chance a wait (try going around 3 or 4 before the dinner crowd) then book an ADR at Sci-Fi.

We are staying at the YC - and have actually had burgers at B&C before - they were definitely good - but - I was hoping that there was somewhere better - I've booked Sci-Fi for lunch based on all the great feedback...

One that I haven't seen posted yet is the burger from Raglan Road. I think you can order it any time but it is only on the lunch and 'late night' menu. But it is very good.

After reading on this board, I was ready for my WDW buns to fall apart on my summer 09 trip! We were there for 7 days, and I had a burger at least once a day somewhere CS or TS, and NOT ONCE did my bun even resemble a crumble!
I thought they were good, and I really didn't notice a difference from previous visits.

Call me nuts, but I like the burgers at Pecos Bills, expecially because of the Fixins Bar. It's not super high quality, but not offensive by any means.

The Plaza has a GREAT cheeseburger. I also like Sci-Fi burgers. The T-Rex burger was also wonderful and huge. Those are my top 3 but I have never gotten over to Beaches and Cream.

My favorite is Cosmic Rays in MK.. I get the double bacon cheeseburger(please dont try to eat it all), and I get that chocolate cake to finish it off.. Yuuuuummmmmy

My wife really liked the burger at Le Cellier in April. I had a bite, and it tasted like real high quality meat. Would definitely recommend, but then it'd be hard to get a burger there instead of the other choices...

Lots of good burgers above, but I like the burger at the Kona Cafe at the Poly.
