This will be my fourth trip to Disney, so this may be hard to believe, but I've never had any burgers, chicken strips, or hot dogs when there. And I keep on reading great things about a lot of burgers and chicken strips, and hot dogs, so I'm going to make a point of trying them this time. So which places have the best / worst of each?

Casey's best hot dogs at MK, best burger for us in Dec. was Backlot Express at MGM. Chicken planks, Columbia Harbor House has pretty good ones at MK.

We, surprisingly, enjoyed the burgers at Liberty Inn at EPCOT. We had the bacon cheeseburger. They also have a fixins bar so you can dress it the way you want it. :)

The best burgers (IMO) are at Beaches & Cream. And a vanilla milkshake and fries compliment it nicely! :thumbsup2 I've never had chicken strips there and the only hot dog I ever had there was from a turkey or popcorn stand in Frontierland and 2 huge birds swiped it right out of the buns (both of them) so I didn't get to eat them!

I too would recommend Caseys for a hot dog....Cosmic Ray's had a good burger and alot of toppings on the bar....and another vote for Columbia Harbor House for the chicken strips...their fish is really good as well...they have a combo that offers some of both. :wave2:

They have very good hot dogs at Casey's and the hot dog cart on the Boardwalk.

Our favorite burgers are Beaches and Cream, LTT and Le Cellier.

Both my hubby and I enjoyed Casey's for hot dogs too :)

I could really go for a nice greasy Disney-burger right about now

Hate the hot-dogs (not Disney-specific, I just don't like them)...but most importantly:

WHERE CAN I GET ONION RINGS?!??!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Where does the best CS onion rings? Yum yum yum.

I'm definitely up for some individual pepperoni pizza to. Mmmmmm!

*goes off to make dinner*

Le Cellier and Peco Bills have good burgers. I've never tried Beaches and Cream, but I've never heard a negative comment about their burgers. They must be good, too!

I have always enjoyed the chicken strips at the MK (Cosmic Rays, I think). I usually get them while sitting on the curb waiting for the parade.

Every once in a while I crave them at home! MMM.

Casey's = our favorite hot dogs (DD also loves the fries that she drowns in the cheese sauce) :teeth:

DD18 has eaten quite a few chicken strips over the years... she said the best USED to be Plaza Pavilion, but since they're gone, she says Wolfgang Puck Express is best.

We don't eat burgers there enough to help... guess I'll have to try to find the best burger in June. :thumbsup2

I also think that Casey's on Main Street has a good hot dog. For burgers, Pecos Bill's gets my vote, and from what I remember, Sunshine Season Food Fair has good chicken tenders. :) Hope this helps!

IMHO in the parks - the burgers are pretty gross - the fixin bars help spruce them up though. Caseys is the only place I have ever gotten a hotdog and they were good. I think the chicken strips at the All Stars were the best (but that was many years ago that I had them)

here are some pictures, they speak better than words:

Ooooh those burgers look so disgustingly greasy, I can't WAIT to have one!!!:teeth:

I like the look of those huge onion rings from Beaches & Cream too - any chance of getting hold of any in the parks?

You need to go to Casey's!!!! I am craving one of those hot-dogs with a LOT of cheese sauce right now... They are SOOOOOOOOOO good!!

I go back for a hot dog at the cart on the Boardwalk every time I'm at WDW, and the chicken strips seem to be about the same everywhere I've tried them (Columbia Harbor House, American Adventure, All-Stars food courts), but they are quite tasty.

For several years, my family did the "Best Burger in the World" reviews on rec.arts.disney.parks newsgroup. You might be able to find some on some of trip-report sites or on Google groups archives.

Our favorite burger was at Evergreens, the restaurant in the now-military only Shades of Green; that was before their renovation, so we don't know how they are now. Other excellent burgers were at Concourse Steakhouse (where the service was excellent, btw, and you often won't go wrong with a burger at a steakhouse), Sandtrap at Eagle Golf Course, Whispering Canyon, and (off-site) at Jungle Jim's at the Crossroads Shopping Center. Our worst burgers were at Krystal (yes, we tried LOTS of places). Unlike an earlier poster, we had an AWFUL burger at Beaches & Cream; in fact, twice we had bad experiences there, including melted ice cream, undercooked food, and a hot dog which had literally spoiled before being cooked. Once we had a good experience at B&C, but not on a par with some of the other opportunities available. YMMV.

Even with the new style of providing toppings for the burgers, the in-park burgers are not the best. Better to use your mid-day break to find one of the truly wonderful burgers available at the resort hotels or nearby restaurants.

Loved the pictures, though! Note that our burger grading scale included presentation, bun (toasted, firmness, taste, freshness), toppings and garnishes, texture and taste of the meat, and service. Except for the last, you can get a good idea from Toyman70's wonderful pictures.

We are going to reprise our survey in a few weeks, hoping to add a couple of the new places as well.

BZall thanks for the praise, please take pic's of any burgers you get (as with any food) For the most part, burgers in the parks are just fair at BEST.I pride
myself as a burger guru,I've eaten $20 burgers down to .99 ones ,an average
week for me includes 2-4 burgers,so I think I know a good one when it comes across these lips.
