I'm usually not a fan of overpriced food, but I thought I would try this place out because my friends rave about their burgers.

I got the regular cheeseburger, small order of fries, and small drink. The total price including tax was $15.20. That is not a typo. $15.20 for essentially a cheeseburger combo at a fast food restaurant. I imagine it would've been closer to $20 if I upsized lol.

The place was nothing special. Their tables/chairs were like cheap plastic patio furniture. The burger was pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. Where do these places get off charging these prices? And yet the place was packed. I don't get it.

We have one about 10 minutes from my house. I've never been because it consistently gets about a 3-star rating on Yelp which sort of tells me it's ho-hum. I don't mind paying $$ for a really great hamburger and fries but it better be something a little bit noteworthy.

I've never heard of it, and the closest location is over 100 miles from me, so I won't be trying it any time soon.

The site did bring up a pet peeve of mine. Why can't companies just list locations or show them on a map instead of making you enter a zip code to find locations? When I'm traveling, it's much easier to check a list of state locations or see a map of locations than to try to guess a zip code that I may be near at meal time.

We go to one occasionally $15 is about right for all the non-fast food burger places around here. A fast food burger combo at Wendy’s is almost $8, so I don’t think $7 more is much considering Burger Fi only uses antibiotic/hormone free beef and I believe it’s only grass fed beef too.

Scroll down the menu to the "Meats" section. DH paid 49€ for a cheeseburger and 12 artfully arranged fries there this spring (about $70 Canadian dollars). :sad2: I chock the experience up to temporary insanity caused by jet lag.

I still see it as a fast food restaurant. If the restaurant doesn't provide table service and requires that you order from a counter, that to me will always be fast food.

That is an outrageous price, but definitely not an apples-to-apples comparison. One is an American chain of fast food restaurants, the other is a full-service sit-down restaurant, in a theme park, in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

You're right of course but I'd wager if you blind taste-tested your burger and the one we got you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. I was shocked at how mundane that burger was - truly nothing special at all.

I agree with you. There is one close to me in Near Rollins College in Fla. Iv'e been there a few times. While I like the burger, I agree that it's way over priced and too loud and crowded the times I have been there. And the serving of fries was far too large. Don't know what that's all about.

We have them here and I while I wouldn't go out of my way to get there just for the burger, I would go more their "custard concrete" style milkshakes. YUM!

Where do they get off charging that? Well first, tie your conscience behind your back or discard it entirely. Second, know the saying about fools and parting money. VIOLA!!! Here is your $15 big Mac Combo sir.

They've opened in my town. But it's clear across town in the new money area. They had one in Pigeon Forge at one point. But it is no more. The vibe I'm getting is premium pricing, mediocre food. I won't be trying it.

Fast food is not cheap anymore. I can go to sit downs and get a better meal & service cheaper.

I think Red Robin has their cheaper burgers for about $9. I added the drink price in myself. But at Culver's (fast food) it's about $8 for a good burger, Fries, and a drink. But there you can sub out the fries for a salad, (ok as salads go) Mashed potatoes and gravy (MMMM) greenbeans (meh) or cole slaw (haven't tried)
The all you can eat sushi lunch place near me is $10. Not the greatest sushi but it's presentable.
Why would I pay $15 for essentially a big mac combo?

Five guys is fairly expensive for what you get too. But there, we can stretch the small fries between three of us. The portions looked too small to do that at Burgerfi.
