Just adding a vote again for Long Beach. The Burbank airport is in the northern part of L.A. and Disneyland is south of L.A., so it's a long drive through traffic.
Last year was my frist trip to DL and I went LB. I just picked it and hoped, well I am going back in a few more weeks and again it is LB. We went on a Friday got in at around 1 no traffic, now this yr getting in at 1:30 on a Saturday so we shall see. I love LB, it's small and the rental cars are right there when you step outside the door.
I didn't realize Long Beach was so close, so we always fly into Orange County. Now I'm wondering which is closer/easier - Long Beach or Orange County? For use Long Beach is quite a bit cheaper, so that may be an even bigger advantage!
An easy drive too - the LGB exit leads you to Wardlow Road, which turns into Ball Road when you cross the LA County/Orange County line. So you drive straight on that road for about 13 miles, then turn right at Disneyland Drive or Harbor Blvd, depending on where your hotel is. Just keep an eye out for the Matterhorn.
The cab driver that we had this last weekend said that both LGB and Orange County were 13 miles from DL. We LOVE LGB....it is very small and easy to get in and out of.
