If only everyone at Disney would use Patootie
instead of their other choice words.........
instead of their other choice words.........
instead of their other choice words.........
Ask Crush if he has a shell-phone, I suggest to Bunny, knowing her great love of silly jokes. Get it? A shell-phone!
Evidently, I was being a pushy stage mother. Feeling a little embarrassed, and sorry that my child terrorized an innocent toddler, I suggest we forget this frustrating scene and move along.
Oh, my goodness, this made me laugh out loud! Isn't that always the way? Little Miss Chatty Cathy suddenly clams up when a prime opportunity comes along. I've done that stage mother thing myself. Bunny! hisses Nana, What do you think theyre going to cheer for you, because you get to go ahead of them in line?
I assure you, they were not.![]()
Now, NMAmy, would you please take the stand, and state for the judge and all those witnesses here present that patootie is not a BAD word? In your own words, of course...Go ahead, I'll wait here.![]()
Here I am, reporting for duty! I cannot believe that child ratted you out for patootie!
Bunny, honey, patootie is NOT a bad word.
I saw stars, fell to the floor, and apparently let rip some new vocabulary words for dd to overhear.
Now, understand, I'm the kind of person whose strongest language includes the words Jeepers or Jiminy Christmas. DD came running into the bathroom and said, "Mommy? Are you okay? You just said a word I've never heard before!"
I still don't know what it was but I'm betting it was a bit more colorful than patootie!
I am constatnly being reminded by my child or occassionally children that I work with that certain words I grew up with as common explanation of feelings are "bad". I know the biggies cause they were "bad" when I was a kid and resulted in consequences of used. If we are ever in WDW at the same time you will know me by my Bunny and yours saying in unison, "That's a bad word"
...maybe it just rhymed with witch?). Bunny overheard, and stopped dead in her tracks. She looked at them, and in all pure innocence said to them very earnestly and imploringly, "Don't say stupid!" Had NO clue what the other word meant. Had never heard it before, I'm happy to say.
"Mommy, you just said a word I've never heard before"...too funny!!!
Thanks for reading so faithfully, NMAmy!Kay: "Loose Cannon": I agree! It's so true that whenever anyone wants to talk to Bunny on the phone, she is waaaaayy to busy to be bothered, but meet up with her in person and she'll talk your ear off. "Sea you around"! Wish I'd thought of that one!![]()
I do think it's funny that "patootie" is her idea of a "bad word". I love it, actually. Once when she was about 4 yrs old, we were out at a shopping mall, and two young "ladies" were teasing/arguing with each other. One called the other a stupid witch (or something similar...I can't remember...maybe it just rhymed with witch?). Bunny overheard, and stopped dead in her tracks. She looked at them, and in all pure innocence said to them very earnestly and imploringly, "Don't say stupid!" Had NO clue what the other word meant. Had never heard it before, I'm happy to say.

Just kidding, your bunny is precious!

This was so cute! The photo of Bunny, not looking at the camera, with frosting smeared on her nose, made me laugh out loud. I love Chip and Dale. I have always thought they were among the funniest and most lovable characters.
