I just received my packet from Disney for our upcoming trip in October. They state that they can not confirm that we will have the bunkbed rooms which we requested. This is really important considering the ages and sex of our kids. Any suggestions how to make this happen??:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Aren't bunkbeds a separate booking category that you have to pay extra for? Did you book that category of room? (I'm guessing yes?). If so, I would call CRO and ask them how they can charge you for something they can't provide.

But you're saying "requested" -- if it's really just a request, you wouldn't have any recourse, because from non bunkbeds to bunkbeds would be an upgrade.

(and of course, none of this is true if I'm wrong about the bunkbed room category).

And what does your confirmation say anyway -- I never saw one that said in advance they couldn't provide your request.

Call WDW and ask if you have a bunkbed room reserved. I think it costs an extra $25 per night for bunkbeds.
Also tell them you have a DD & DS who can not and wil not sleep together and you need a bunkbed room.
We did that and got our bunkbed room. At the time our DS was 12 and our DD was 9. No sleeping together.

Good luck !

We've stayed there 3 times over the years and I don't ever remember paying extra for them. They don't ever seem to offer a guarantee of room type or connecting rooms and things like that. I have always gotten what I asked for for what it is worth. They have a lot of bunk rooms so it is likely you will be okay.

If you don't get it couldn't you sleep with your daughter and son with his dad? That's what we would have done.

Should I call the main reservation office or call Wilderness Lodge directly? Thanks so much for the responses. By the way, I did request a bunkbed room when I booked about 11 months ago.

Yes they are a seperate booking category, have been for about a year or so, and cost a few $ extra, best bet is to call CRO as they hold all the reservation details. Also what does the booking confirmation say?

Claire ;)

Did you book a bunkbed room? If you did then there shouldn't be a problem. If all you did was request one then you are behind the folks that paid for a bunk bed room.

It should state that you have bunk beds on your confirmation. I just got back from a trip to WL in which we had bunk beds. All our confirmations stated that we had bunk beds since it is a different room category...yours should too.

1) As mentioned, reconfirm your bunk beds with CRO.
2) They are a unique category.
3) And, they show full or not (availability) on the ressie computers.
4) You should be able to get the bunks room.

NOTE: The wording might be just to cover themselves in case something happens and the room is not available. Remember, NO ROOM at Disney is truly guaranteed, regardless of the category, cost, or request.
