Bunkbeds - AKL or WL ?

Where do I have a better chance of getting a bunkbed
room ? AKL or WL ?
Going Easter 2003

My DS & DD do not want to sleep in the same bed.

Are there more bunkbed rooms at AKL or WL ?
What percentage of rooms are bunk bed rooms.

I read a post about someone asking for a bunkbed
room at AKL her first 3 nights - and none were found.
She did have AKL bunkbed room requested on her
ressies. It was not honored.

If we get 2 queen size beds - we'll stick with the
Dolphin

I asked for a bunkbed room at the AKL for our stay in November. Is it hard to actually get one of them?

As far as who gets the bunkbed rooms and who doesn't, I believe it goes by request date and the number of other things you request. So if your reservation for Easter 2003 is already made and you have requested bunkbeds, then you are high on the list. However, if you requested a certain location in the resort as well as say nonsmoking, close to the elevator, excellent view.....Well they may not be able to grant all those requests. The room assignor generally grants your requests in the order you listed. So if bunkbeds is last on the request, maybe you won't get them. Maybe you'll get your first 2 or 3 requests instead. We requested bunkbeds for our trip and received them. I did try to keep my requests to a minimum though. Asked for Zebra trail, bunkbeds and connecting rooms. All 3 were granted. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. We'll just ask for bunkbeds. Any
view other than garabage cans or cars is fine for us.

I was waiting for AP rates to come out this Oct or Nov and
then do our ressie. I hope 6 months in advance is
early enough

I adore the AKL. Just thought I'd post a photo of the bunk beds. I hope you have good luck getting a bunk bed room. Remember, you may "request" one but nothing is "guaranteed" (but my fingers are crossed for you and your family).

We requested bunk beds for our November trip also. It was the first thing on my short list of requests so I hope they honor that one. My boys can sleep in the same bed if they have to but it would be so much nicer for us if they could sleep in their own beds.
