My neighbors asked us to come over on Friday to play. I had never heard of it so I looked it up via Google... sounds kind of difficult to play, as there seems to be many versions with "house rules". Is this something we can pick up quickly?

Yeah, I'm part of a bunco group, and it takes about five minutes to figure it all out. Basically, we just consider it an excuse to get together for food and drinks ;-) Seriously, there is absolutely no skill involved.

LOL, that is exactly what they said... come on over for food and drinks, and we'll play some Bunco...

If you can throw dice, count and drink, you're all set.

You also get to talk! ;) Bunko is one of those games that no skill needed to play. It's a game that has been around for a long time. My late DM used to play it in the 40's.

Was in a BUNCO group for years. It takes about 5 minutes to learn even with the variations from group to group. If you can roll dice (three of them), make tick marks and know when you have 21 you are set. It is so much fun to play. Don't miss out.. Have fun

Oh yes it's super easy to learn- and generally the bunco group ends up turning into just a get together group. Ours did after about 9 months- we all just decided we like the chatting and drinking part the game not so much. But it does get you out.

Bunco is huge in the military community as a way to meet people. We have a group of wives that meet once a month (we do Mondays and Tuesdays to fit more schedules) for cocktails, appetizers, and then Bunco for about 90 minutes or so. Definitely easy to pick up on!

I used to play bunco and like others said it is an easy game to learn thought sometimes it takes awhile for a game to finish. My mom and sister still play and I will watch them once in awhile

Bunco is TONS of fun!! I haven't played it in years since we moved away from the group I knew that played, but would love to pick it up again. You'll be able to figure it out quickly! I used to love to play - even got quite lucky several times and came home $20 richer!

I played in my neighborhood Buunco group when we lived in FL. It was really easy and fun and a great way to meet new people.

GO, PLAY! You will have a great time and it is very easy and fast to learn. I played one time with my mom and had a great time.

I was visiting my mom and they needed another player, so I went with her. The group she plays with welcomed me with open arms and I really enjoyed playing.

Once you play one hand, you will pick it up really fast. My mom plays Bunco once a month on Fridays and they play at different houses each month.

I belonged to a bunco group for about 8 yrs. We meet once a month Sept-April.
Each month is at a different person's home. It is a geat way to stay connected with friends.

Yep been playing bunco with people from my old neighborhood for about 12 years now. I moved away 8 years ago and still travel back to the old neighborhood to play and catch up on gossip.
Its very easy. And definetly has to be for us to be able to gossip, throw dice, drink and eat all at the same time. :rolleyes1

I'm in 3 bunco groups each month - if you don't catch on in a few rounds, you probably suffered a stroke, it's that easy (and all of my groups have different rules). We have 12 women in each group, everyone hosts a month with food and beverages, and it's $10 to play, and the winners are most wins, most losses, and most bunco's (divided up differently in each group).
