Staying at Coronado Springs

Please help with my questions regarding timing and how to get from Point A to B!!! I HATE not knowing where to go/what to do and we've never taken Disney transportation. I do know I can uber/cab anywhere if I want to but I'll make that decision based on how long/difficult it is to get from A to B. :) Thanks in advance!!!

1. Coronado Springs to Parks - assuming 1 hour is enough time at RopeDrop on regular 9am opening days? Do you plan more time for any of the parks?
2. Resort to Parks - does this change if it's EMH at 8am?
3. How do I get from Coronado Springs to Whispering Canyon Café, 11am ADR? When should we leave?
4. How do I get from Coronado Springs to Kona Café, 9am ADR? When should we leave?
5. How do I get from Disney Springs to Boma, 5:15pm ADR? When should we leave?
6. How do I get from Coronado Springs to Blizzard Beach? When should we leave to be there for 10am? Also, how do we get back, leaving around 2pm or so?
7. How do I get from Coronado Springs to 1900 Park Fare, 5:30pm ADR? When to leave?

1. Be at the resort bus stop an hour before the parks open.
2. See 1.
3. Bus to MK, then boat to WL. Allow 1-1.5 hours.
4. Bus to MK. Boat or monorail to Poly. Allow 1-1.5 hours.
5. Bus to AKL. Allow an hour.
6. They've just changed the bus routings. But someone else will know.
7. Bus to MK. Resort launch or monorail to GFR. Allow 1-1.5 hours.

6. How do I get from Coronado Springs to Blizzard Beach? When should we leave to be there for 10am? Also, how do we get back, leaving around 2pm or so? They are changing the buses to the water parks so I am not sure.
7. How do I get from Coronado Springs to 1900 Park Fare, 5:30pm ADR? When to leave? I am not sure how long to get to MK from your hotel but I guess I would give 1 1/2 hours. You can always sit and relax in the Grand Floridian lobby if you are early.

I have never stayed at the Coronado Springs - so I don't know how long it takes to go to the parks.
For Whispering Canyon, Kona Café and 1900 Park Fare - coming from the Coronado - I would take the bus to MK and then either take a boat or the monorail to the specific hotel.

For Whispering Canyon - there is a boat to The Wilderness Lodge
For 1900 PF - you can take a boat or the Monorail to the Grand Floridian
For Kona Café - you can take a boat or the monorail to the Poly

I hope that helps.

First, take a deep breath....okay, feel better? So, here are my thoughts..

1. Depends. Do you want to be among the first to be at the park? Be out at 90 mins prior to opening. Figure on an hour if you just want to join the crowd at park opening...you will have lots of company. The hour prior to park opening up to 9:00 is when the buses are the busiest.
2. Still pretty much the same. You can be out at the stop a bit less than an hour prior to opening.
3. Take a bus to MK...probably around 9:45ish. Then, take the boat over to WL.
4. But to MK, boat (or monorail) over to the Polynesian. For a 9am ADR, I would leave the resort by 7:30-7:45.
5. Bus to AKL, around 4:30.
6. Bus to BB, be at the bus stop around 9:30ish. There will be a bus with your resort name on it. It may very well stop somewhere along the way though. If in doubt, just ask a driver..they're very helpful!
7. Bus to MK, boat to GF. You can take the monorail but it will take over 20 mins. The boat is usually faster. I would leave CSR by 4:15.

Going from resort to resort (unless it's possible to either walk there, or take a boat or monorail) takes longer than resort to park. You usually have to make a transfer somewhere, and that takes time. So, we usually recommend leaving 90 mins to go from resort to resort.
There are no buses that run between DS and the parks. You would have to get to a resort, and then transfer over to transportation to the park that you want. As far as whether to take the monorail or boat from MK to the Polynesian or GF? If the monorail is just coming over from the GFd (you can see it) then take that. But, if it isn't, take the boat. There is a smallish boat that runs from the MK to the GF, then to the Polynesian, and then back to the MK. It's fairly quick and quite pleasant.

As PP's have said, the bus routes to the water parks recently changed, and what's more, CS has always been different than all other resorts for BB, so you definitely need to ask.

Your best resource for the answer is probably a transportation greeter. In the a.m., there should be a transportation greeter at the main bus stop (near the front lobby). They may also be at some of the other stops, and may be out in the evenings sometimes. They will be college kids wearing a white shirt and black pants, possibly carrying a messenger bag with Disney Transport on it.

Up until a week ago, CS always had direct non-stop service to and from BB, which is only a mile away. I don't know whether that's still the case. Even some bus drivers may not know the current situation.

If there is a direct bus, the first one will probably be about half an hour before BB opens. The bus arrival time boards at the bus stops may not be reliable for the water parks. There may be a bus on the way, but not showing on the boards.

Would renting a car improve all of these times?

Yes. With the exception of going to the Magic Kingdom it is always quicker to drive. And while an hour is probably enough time to make it to your ADRs transferring around at parks, be aware that Disney suggests you allow 90 minutes. And if you are late there is a chance they won't be able to seat you, and you will still have to pay the per person no show fee.

Either rent a car or plan on using taxis to get around. Much simpler.

Remember when planning for rope drop, if you aim to be there at the posted opening time, you are 30-45 min late.
Pretty much every park starts letting folks in the turnstiles about 15, 20 min before official opening time. So you want to be there 30 min BEFORE that, not 30 min before opening time.

We always use Uber going Resort to Resort. Unless it's the Epcot or Monorail resorts
