Ok, Ok, I know what subscribing means, but what is bump, bumped or bumping?

Thanks :confused3

When you bump something that means you move the thread to the top of the category (it has to have the most recent reply to have that status). Hope this helps! :goodvibes

You would want to do this if, for instance, you are looking for responses and need more. If a thread is at the top, people notice it (usually it's in bold) and you are more likely to get a response. If it gets too far down (past pages 1 or 2) they are less likely to get a post.

You just did it-- you replied. Next time you want to bump something just say bump & the fact you replied makes it current. Understand now?!?!?

By replying to a post, are you bumping the entire "thread"?

Yes. This way when it falls down 3, 4 or more pages, you simply reply and it bumps it to the first page. Kinda like cutting in line.
