On the threads i notice people say BUMP! what does this mean can anyone explain it to a dummy like me

Bump just means that you don't have the answer but you are bringing it back to the top so someone else might see it. It is Bumping it back to the front of the line. Usually happens when it gets pushed to page 2 or 3 and still not answered.

It is used when a topic thread is slipping down the list, and people want to keep it near the top so that it gets more responses; i.e., 'bumping' it up to the top of the list...

It means it brings that post back up to the TOP of the FIRST page...sometimes you might want some more answers to your question so you can "bump" it back up to the top.

OR.... back when I was in High School 'the Bump' was a very popular dance that involved your backside!
