Bummer...no tortilla's for awhile

I just checked the dates for the first week in November and looks like Mission Tortilla Factory will be closed for refurbishment.

Geesh!!! Didn't they realize I am celebrating my birthday and was counting on getting my dozen tortillas. Now what am I going to do

I am Nov 8th and my son is Nov 9th. We were planning to visit on Nov 4th.... We love the tortillas and sometimes have to visit DCA only to get our tortilla and piece of bread....

When are they down? I was really looking forward to this because I love fresh warm tortillas. I will be there from Nov 10th-13th.

Oh BOOO! I was just thinking that when we go next week to see High School Musical, I can stop by and get a Bday sticker (11-4) and get me some free fresh tortillas LOL. Oh well. BOOO to that!

It's just a plain old tortilla! Usually flour, though sometimes corn . It's in DCA just past Flicks Fun Fair. There is a (very) little but cute show, and then you go through to the actual 'factory' where you can watch the machine make the tortillas. They give each guest a warm tortilla right out of the machine. YUM! Bday guests get a whole BAG of fresh, yummy tortillas!

Before you go to the Tortilla Factory go to the Pacific Wharf Cafe and ask them for some butter. When you get your warm flour tortilla put the butter on your tortilla roll it up and eat it. It makes it very yummy.

I took my 10 yr. old sister to the tortilla factory on her bday last summer. They saw her b-day sticker and gave her a fresh/hot bag of tortillas. She was surprised but thought it was cool and she always talks about it.
