Bummer - I think a friend just got booted from Facebook

I had no idea that FB did so much policing and filtering. I mean, if you don't like someone, just de-friend them!

The strangest glitch I've seen on FB is a friend of mine just poofed from my page, and all mutual friends pages. About a week later, she came back on and just said she was taking a FB vacation. Seems strange to "delete" your account for a short time, but it wasn't deleted, because she never sent out new friend requests or anything.

I know people who have been banned (and reinstated) for making too many friend requests in a short period of time. They were playing some game where you need other friends to help you with it, but fb wanted to make sure they weren't spamming.

You can de-activate your account. It makes you disappear from FB. However, when you're ready to come back, you just log back in again and you're A-OK once more.

I've had to do this before when some adults were acting like children.

Happened to someone who I used to date...he recently friended me.

I was even surprised he remembered how to spell my name or even my last name for that matter.

I confirmed him and we chatted a few times but I think he either deleted it or his wife did. He had some very strange posts. He told me he was getting divorced.

One day he was on there the next day poof totally gone no trace of him whatsoever. Oh well.

I know. It's so weird. I tried logging in today and it said it's still disabled.

Nope. I've gotten that stupid "Facebook chat cannot connect at this time" or "Sending...." a lot but never has it said that I can't say something.

There is something strange with the Chat on FB. I couldn't chat, and a friend told me to put the cursor over the chat symbol on the bottom and hit F5 when it was hovering over it. It worked, and I can chat again. Several of us were talking about it not working, and no one knew why. have you tried that?

It works for me sometimes but the count is way off. Right now it says "Chat (5)" and there's like 10 people online. It also doesn't say when people sign off. It still says they're online.

Weird...I haven't noticed any issues with my FB at all, at least not lately.

My mom just told me my old facebook somehow re-appeared.

a couple of my kids got "banned"...

They just sent email, asking why, and they were reinstated.

Perhaps your friend can do the same.
