I guess it is official, I took off my tickers from my sig. I hate it when real life gets in the way of your Disney vacation. So we had to cancel but are now planning for a Oct 2013 trip. It's just so far away, instead of 4 months it is now 16.

Oh honey, put that ticker back up!!! My tickers always go up almost two years in advance. I figure you need at least a solid year of preplanning before you actually get to the nitty gritty details In fact, my next two trips are one on one trips with my daughters, they are two years apart (the trips, not the girls) and my youngest wanted be to start a countdown on my phone. It currently sits at 869 days . That's pushing it, even for me, but it's there and I know that when my trip in 159 days ends I'll have it to look forward to

Having your trip pushed back just means you have time to plan it bigger and better and can save more money for it. Add something special in that you might not have done on your original trip....it will be worth the wait

Trust me. I get it. We had POR booked for the end of August. Surgery in January and another scheduled for the beginning of September means no Mickey this year. The saving grace is that we had Fantasy booked for March Break and have now booked the Dream to go with next years WDW trip. Gotta have something to look forward to.

Oh well, I guess there is always next year right. We probably could still go but would it be the smart thing to do, probably not. I was just really looking forward to The Food and Wine Festival, Eat to the Beat and Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. It looks like Billy Ocean will be back when we were to be there. We saw him on our last trip and he was amazing, you could tell he was enjoying every minute of his time on stage, loving his job. Didn't hurt that it was a good trip down memory lane either. By the way he looked a bit older than I remember but who isn't these days.
It was one of the best trips we have had to date and I was looking forward to repeating it. Maybe I'lll get around to making a new ticker soon.

I always say, Life is what happens in between Disney Trips. I'd design a whole new ticker - very different from your old one then look for a "Going in Oct 2013" thread!Take care

I feel your pain! We were supposed to go back to DLR in Feb but hubby took a last minute trip to Holland with his parents last summer and used the money for our DL trip for his airfare.$2200 for one person return
So we postponed a year and now I am staying at the Grand California(that was my caveat for delaying a year
At least Carsland will be open and the madness will have tapered off by then.
