Fresh off the high from our January trip, I volunteered to "plan" my inlaws' June trip. I spent over an hour on the phone getting APs for CRT, Akershaus, LeCellier, California Grill during fireworks...I spent several hours putting together touring plans based on Unofficial Guide/park hours/EMH/crowd levels...only to learn they refused to wake up early for rope drop...then reworked the touring plans for a 10am arrival to each park. Long story short, my MIL tore her meniscus (knee) and is having surgery tomorrow. FIL won't push her in a wheelchair (I don't blame him) and doesn't want to chase her in a scooter either (that, I understand a little less, but still I don't blame him--she'd be THAT lady--running over ankles and small children) so she canceled the theme park portion of their trip. They are still attending their conference at the Contemporary, but won't tour any parks. I feel bad for her--surgery, then being in Disney World, but not really being in Disney World, but I feel bad for me too--all that planning gone to waste.
I'm feeling selfish and sorry for myself, and wishing it were me going to WDW next month.
On a positive note, if you are going to WDW June 14-21 and were needing any of those APs, call right now!!!!
Sigh....
