Bummed about the loss of valet

This is probably old news but I just read in the latest news that DVC members will not longer get free valet service....total bummer as we really enjoyed that....are there any other changes I missed? is there still free parking at the theme parks? I hope so otherwise we may not rent a vehicle this time around....
 
Yes, still free parking at the theme parks, but no free valet at the DVC resorts. We complained to member services, who said they were getting lots of complaints and may revisit it. So I say, if you think it stinks, complain and maybe they'll change it back. I, for one, would like to see at least free valet at your own resort (i.e., the one you're staying at) even if it's not all...

Calling MS won't do much good. MS is in the business of making reservations and banking points.

The correct thing to do is send a email to: dvcmembersatisfactionteam@disneyvacationclub.com

Include your Member number and phone number. They will call you back in about 2 weeks.

I'm glad you got a more positive response. DH and I both sent emails to the address above and were told, in what was essentially a form letter, to go pound sand.

It was our first major disappointment with DVC and I don't think we'll ever feel quite the same about being members again.
 
I remember when all Disney guests enjoyed complimentary valet parking at the deluxe resorts. Its sad to lose another benefit.

It was reported that at the annual meeting earlier this month, they basically said it was a dead issue -- or something like that. There's an entire thread here on the report from the meeting and what they said if you want to search for it yourself.

Whatever was said, it didn't sound encouraging to me at all from the way I read it - in terms of the perk being reinstated.

This is either true, or a way that a phone representative can hustle a caller off the line, to move to the next person and improve their chances to make quota for the day.

I'll leave it to you to decide which it probably was. ;)
