Hello DISers!!!! We are in the process of redoing our downstairs bathroom. We gutted it and are now at the point of tiling and installing the fixtures, so soon it is going to be time to decorate.

I have painted the walls a happy yellow. I think I want to do a bumblebee theme in there...towels, shower curtain, soap dish etc. There's just one problem...I have done an Internet search and have not found a thing.

Any suggestions?? I have done all the obvious ones...Penney's, Macy's, Montgomery Ward and so on, plus some not-so-obvious ones that turned up on my searches.

Thanks!!!!

Target? I know they have a turtle theme that's geared more towards kids. Goodluck!

I found the same thing as tiggger1. It was an old auction on eBay. But, another theme you could use is ducks :lmao: Rubber ducky you're the one, you make bathtime lots of fun..

I dont like nice bathrooms, it makes me feel guilty if I go no 2

I had to laugh when I read your title. In our old house we had old 50's tiles up the wall all around the bathroom. They were golden yellow with black accent tiles. I swear it looked like a bumblebee blew up in there :lmao: .

I have never seen any bumblebee decor for a bathroom, although that would have gone well in my bathroom. You could do the black and yellow towels, and maybe print out some pictures of bees and frame them. Also I know I have seen honey holders (I don't know what they are called) but they are in the shape of a bee hive, you put the honey in them and they come with a honey stick. You would find that in housewares somewhere. That could be a toothbrush holder. You could also look at a craft store for patches of bees and sew them on some guest towels. You may have to be creative to come up with some ideas so don't just limit it to looking in bathroom sections.

do like the "creative" person who must have rented the house we're currently in did the laundry room-freehand draw and paint in picures (we have little shirts, blouses and shorts on hangers complete with real buttons and zippers somehow glued on).

if that does'nt appeal to you try a teacher supply place (like the abc stores) they have bulletin board edging with bumblebees that could be decopodged as a border or just cut out and applied with spray glue. i like the idea of using honey pots for tooth brush holders, you could also get some of that soap that has a honeycomb look to it. maybe check out the fabric store and see if they have any border with bees on it-then sew it on some hand towels.

for a more "whimsical look" you could get a roll of the winnie the pooh wallpaper and just cut out the bees and hives and attach them to the wall.
